Very comfortable hotel a block from Varazdin’s attractive, much restored centre. We had three rooms and chose the hotel because Europe was in a heat-wave and the rooms have air-conditioning. It worked well in all three (but you have to be a bit patient for it to kick in strongly in the two top-floor rooms). We were also put off by reviews of hotels right in the city centre reporting church bells throughout the night. We heard them but only faintly. Breakfast was terrific with cooked options offered however you wanted them. The English-speaking staff were very friendly and accommodating, including by offering us use of another bathroom when the cistern stopped operating in one. There’s plenty of free parking and good wifi.

Molto carina questa piccola pensione a ridosso del centro storico, pulita e ben gestita. Le piccole camere sono tutte piccole mandare anche se al primo piano, sono dotate di bagno privato, asciuga capelli e tv, c’è anche un piccolo frigo. In struttura è possibile avere solo la colazione. Quest’ultima appunto è molto semplice ma buona. Il personale è molto disponibile e gentile. Unico neo è che è un po’ datata quindi i bagni, benché puliti, ogni tanto hanno cattivo odore dalle fogne inoltre dagli abbaìni non entra molta aria quindi spesso sono molto calde. Suggerisco di portare i propri bagnoschiuma poiché la struttura ne è carente. Oltre alle stanze al primo piano ci sono anche quelle (un paio) al secondo, più grandi e confortevoli con bagno con bidet, arredate in legno davvero molto belle. Il punto di forza dell’hotel è la vicinanza ad un supermercato che ha prezzi molto bassi. Consiglio tale struttura perché a Varazdin e’ migliore anche di alcuni hotel in zona, ci siamo confrontati con altri amici che hanno soggiornato in zona e, credetemi, è davvero una validissima pensione.

Pensione datata con parcheggio. Nel complesso più che soddisfacente per il prezzo (144 euro una notte 2 camere matrimoniali). Pulizia perfetta. Personale disponibile. camera mansardata piacevole e comoda con bagno privato doccia. Unica pecca la colazione. Pane e confezioni varie di marmellata miele burro formaggio fegato. Su richiesta mi hanno gentilmente preparato delle uova con prosciutto. Caffè indecente.

This is my second visit to Varazdin and Pansion Maltar. Varazdin is beautiful as before, es well as the our experience staying at Maltar. Clean rooms, parking, good location close to downtown, good breakfast, friendly owner and staff. Highly recommended.
