Vila Călimănel

Great food and very proffessional in everything! I was there with my husband for a couple of times, and we will certainly go there and in the future. Food is the greatest and people there have a very good vibe. Thank you for the grat experience!

We stayed at Vila Calimanel and everything was fine. The hotel managers and the staff were very polite and helped us with everything we needed. I really liked the food, it was diverse and you have a lot to choose from. I ate seafood which was very tasty considering that it's a mountain area and the beef as well, exactly as I asked for. The room was clean and nice!

Food was ok, location pretty nice but the price on the receipt different than the one in the menu an issue for which we had to wait 30 extra minutes because of it and we had to end up paying because they corrected the menu with a pen on the spot.

It is close to impossible to communicate normally with this hotel. One calls, every time there is another person answering and has no clue what the other colleagues agreed or communicated. E-mails are left unanswered. When finally we got hold of somebody responsible on the phone, it turned out that they booked the wrong room, though in the e-mail I specified what was needed. When questioned this, they simply cancelled. You can have the surprise that you think that you booked a family room, for ex, and then it is something else, like a double room ( good luck to find a place for the children). Or, simply they just cancel because you point to their mess. We have stayed there many times before and we liked it, but with the new management team it is a total disaster. They could not even figure out until recently whether they open the booking during winter holidays or not. A total pain to agree something with them! Disrespectful and disorganised. I do not recommend!

This review is only for the restaurant as we did not book rooms here. The food is excelent, the staff is very polite and attentive. Moreover, the food took little time to prepare and arrived steaming hot. Overall, it is an awesome place to have a meal.

The food was outstanding, everything we ordered came out perfect, our server was very nice and helpful and she made sure we had a great experience. We only went to the restaurant but I would definitely book a room as well. The only thing I would think twice about is the music that was playing in the restaurant as it's not for everyone.
