Var på genomresa och stannade en natt på Hotell Esplanad i Växjö. Incheckningen var helt ok. Men frukosten, personalen var skolungdomar som gjorde sitt bästa men det var så tydligt att det saknades struktur i deras arbete. Det borde finnas någon som med erfarenhet kunde arbetsleda ungdomarna. Den tjejen som skulle checka ut oss hade problem dem det ekonomiska systemet. Från att det redan var betalt och i nästa ögonblick var summan uppe i 2000 kr tills det äntligen hamnade på rätt summa.
Inget ont om dessa ungdomar men det var så tydligt att det saknades arbetsledning med erfarenhet.

Supermysigt mindre hotell med fin och fräsch frukostbuffé. Lugnt och vilsamt. Trevlig personal! Rekommenderar för dig som åker ensam utan små barn och vill ha lugn.

Jätte mysigt , ren och fin hotel . God och fräsch frukost. Tjejerna på receptionen trevliga.
De behöver göra i ordning bastu och polen för det skulle bli skönt att köpa pass för avkoppling.

Top-Zimmer gehabt unterm Dach! Geräumig und hell. Angenehm still im Haus. Dunkle Flure mit gediegenem Ambiente. Keine Störung durch andere Hausgäste. Ausblick auf Hinterhof, aber keinesfalls unansehnlich. Morgens mit Sonnenaufgang. Schön ruhig, dank rückwärtiger Lage. Straße auf der Vorderseite hört man dort nur morgens wenn ab 6 die Kehrmaschinen fahren. Fenster lässt sich mit einem Hebel auch ganz öffnen. Kritikpunkt: Rechtes Fenster blind und taub, muss dringend ausgetauscht werden. Warum wird das nicht behoben? Sehr freundlicher Email-Kontakt im Vorfeld, entrance Code für die Tür wird problemlos per SMS übermittelt. Reception werktags und samstags bis 20 Uhr (oft auch nur bis 19:30) besetzt, am Sonntag und Helgtag (Feiertag) nur bis ca. 16 Uhr. Supersüße junge Lady am Front Desk, sehr netter Empfang beim Check in. Angenehmer Small-Talk. Auch supersüße Lady beim Frühstück. Werktags ab 6:30, WE ab 7:30 . Da muss man schnell sein, schon ab 6 Uhr bilden sich in der Lobby lange Schlangen von Monteuren und Handwerkern. Um 6:45 ist dann schon fast alles leer! In der Nähe (fußläufig erreichbar) befinden sich Pizzeria Venezia (eine Institution seit 45 Jahren in Växjö!) und Barks Kiosk (eine weitere Institution, seit 56 Jahren am Platz!) sehr gutes und leckeres, wie ebenso preisgünstiges Essen. Was mir aufgefallen ist war ein Kunststoff-Geruch im Zimmer nach Abwesenheit, der sich aber durch Lüften recht bald beheben ließ. Bad auch ok mit Dusche und Ablageflächen. Großer TV, gut vom Bett aus zu sehen. Alles im Oton mit Untertiteln. Wasserkocher und Raumlüfter im Zimmer. Kühlschrank für alle im Erdgeschoss, rechts hinter der Lobby durch um die Ecke beim Aufzug. Im 4. Stock (nicht ausgeschildert, durch eine Holztür über die Treppe zu erreichen) gibt es noch einen wundervollen Tagungsraum. Gerne wieder, tolle Stadt. Man kann in einer Stunde um den See laufen. Muss allerdings auch dazusagen dass ich ein Doppelzimmer zur Alleinbenutzung hatte. Dieses war jedoch von hoher Qualität. Habe mich hier sehr wohlgefühlt und im Rahmen der Karloskarsdagerna viele Konzerte mit Auftritte u.a. von Bullett, Estraden und Medina gesehen. Schönes Erlebnis das lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird.
