We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Venice and highly recommend it!
The location is fantastic — directly at the boat pickup point, with easy access to the railway station, airport, and downtown. The hotel has a lovely, authentic atmosphere, and the service was generally very good.
We had a minor issue with curtains that wouldn’t close fully in our first room, but the staff promptly moved us to a better one.

An amazing hotel! Arrived in Venice by train from Trieste (after disembarking from a cruise ship). Getting to the hotel and around Venice was easy using the vaporetto (bought the 48 hour passes at the pier kiosk located outside the train station). The hotel, room, bathroom, and view were beautiful! The hotel staff including the receptionist and concierge were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! They provided an amazing and unexpected surprise on our 2nd day there…recognizing my wife’s birthday. We returned to the room and they had placed balloons on the bed and had a bottle of champagne and other fine treats waiting for her! This hotel and staff go above and beyond the 5 star expectations!

The room's location was decent, but since it's not on the main island, we had to pay €15 per person daily for the hotel shuttle boat. Also, the hotel provides NO complimentary drinking water! NO complimentary drinking water! NO complimentary drinking water! A small bottle of water costs €6, and there's nowhere nearby to buy any. If you don't want to fall into this trap, choose this hotel carefully!
On our first night, I messaged the hotel asking how to get there by boat but received no reply. We ended up taking a public ferry and then lugging our luggage across a bridge. For guests who aren't strong, it's best to confirm arrival methods in advance!
The most outrageous part was being overcharged €48 upon checkout. They charged me for another room's bill (my room number ended in 0, theirs in 6). The signatures were completely different, but they didn't even check. It took ages, and they had an attitude like they were doing me a favor by finally letting me leave. Absolutely ridiculous!

Getting around the island isn't very convenient. The staff at check-in were quite patient. The room felt a bit old, with some cracks on the ceiling. The bathroom drain had a bad odor, especially in the middle of the night – it was almost unbearable when using the toilet. We asked them to check and fix it, or change rooms, when we left. They said it was resolved when we returned, but the smell was still there. Dinner was just okay, but all the servers were very friendly. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of options.

This is a historic building, over 100 years old. Walking around the lobby felt like visiting an art gallery, with so many artworks that constantly made me stop and admire them.
