Very beautiful hotel. The service staff are kind and courteous. They quickly complete the check-in procedures upon arrival and show the guests their rooms. The hotel's decoration is classic and luxurious, which is very suitable for taking pictures.

This is a hotel with a profound artistic background. The entrance of the hotel is not too big, and there are surprises everywhere after entering. It is especially suitable for taking pictures and punching cards. The service is also very good. I came in winter, and the room is very warm. I can see the entire lagoon from the balcony. The location Excellent. An extra bed is available. It was already 22:00 when I checked in. I came to the hotel restaurant with the mentality of giving it a try. I didn’t expect the most amazing thing to be the upstairs restaurant. This is the most formal Italian restaurant in Europe. Eat Serving a dish with a set of tableware is too particular. It was great to have a great foie gras, the beauty of the dessert and the rich flavors. The buffet breakfast the next morning was even more unexpected. Not to mention the top-notch view, the rich and delicious breakfast is also top-notch. The location is very close to the Bridge of Sighs. St. Mark's Square is so beautiful, and the products in the nearby shops are also very good. 80 euros to sit on the gondola, it is worth it! Take a water taxi from the hotel to the airport, 130 Euros and board the boat directly from the side door of the hotel lobby, which is very convenient. When I came to the hotel, I didn’t understand. I took the water bus, 15 euros per person. The bus stopped when it saw the station. The boat was full of people. It took an hour to get to the St. Mark’s Square station. I got off the boat and walked 300 meters with my suitcase. After about 10 meters, we crossed the Bridge of Sighs and arrived at the hotel. It's not very convenient. If you take a water taxi for 130 Euros from the airport, you can go directly to the side entrance of the hotel lobby in 20 minutes.

I'm usually quite picky, but I couldn't find a sinThe cleanliness was impeccable, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower pressure was perfect (a rare find in hotels!)gle fault with this hotelThe staff were always available but never intrusive

Beautiful 14th century old royal palazzo now a 5* hotel. Expensive, but great staff, excellent beds and pillows, and great service. The views from a balcony room overlooking the grand lagoon are great, as is the terrazzo restaurant on the roof top.

The restaurant staff was top-notch in friendliness and service, but this was offset by the terrible room location. The tour price was $991 and the list was $1,675. Our room however was looking into renovation tarps 4 feet away from both windows. We saw no Grand Canal nor Venice island. The desk would "gladly" upgrade us for another $500 a night. We and our friends with similar room never to return to Hotel Danieli
Response from Property: Dear Doug, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. It is regrettable that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. We work hard to create unforgettable memories. The feedbacks we receive are very important and if negative, they are one of the most successful tool to understand the issues which need to be addressed. Please accept my sincere apologies for the disappointment we caused to you. Should you wish to discuss further about what happened, please feel free to contact us at any time. Sincerely, Claudio Staderini General Manager Hotel Danieli, Venice

My friend was staying at the Danieli and invited me for a drink. The aggressive staff acted more like bouncers than welcoming hosts, and didn’t allow me to go up to the terrace. The staff were incredibly rude. The Cipriani is far better and attentively welcoming, treating all guests with utter respect.

It’s everything you hear about (and see) in the movies and more. Everything is spectacular. Not just a hotel but an experience. I’m writing this review because even though I’ve stayed there with my wife about three years ago we still haven’t forgotten. And never will.
Response from Property: Dear Daniel B, Thank you for sharing your experience. We are pleased to know you had a wonderful time! We look forward to welcoming you back in the future! Sincerely, Claudio Staderini General Manager Hotel Danieli, Venice

This hotel was a cherry on top in our journey in Venice. It is expensive - crazy expensive. But the ones who stay there rarely read Booking reviews ;) They now why they are booking it and what service they will get. It is high end, top notch hotel, a few steps from St. Marco square and nice Venetian Lagoon views. We had an amazing time here. The room is very nicely decorated, and the view from room and balkony to the Venetian Lagoon is worth the price. It was also very spacious and comfortable to spend time in it. Breakfast option is a great one, rich of food, great service, nice view, good feeling. We also tried local Restaurant Terrazza Danieli rooftop in the evening and were very happy with the service, food choice, atmosphere. Later you can enjoy live music and drink unique cocktails at Bar Terrazza Danieli. We also wondered via different floors and enjoyed the unique historical palazzo ceilings, furniture and spirit. We were greeted by special service, personal note upon arrival, bottle of Prosecco and a small Venetian delight for our celebration. All these small details counts! This is a place were you can really enjoy, relax and just stop for a moment from all the rush and buzz around you. Nothing to complain about except for some light noise coming through the windows from lagoon side. Windows isolation could be better.
Response from Property: Dear Sarunas55, We appreciate you taking the time to post such positive comments - it’s always great to hear that our guests enjoy themselves during their travels. Thank you for the feedback you have provided. This level of detail is important for us so we know exactly how we can improve for future experiences. We look forward to welcoming you back! The hotel is beautifully decorated as you walk into the lobby. We then went up to the top floor to the main restaurant for Christmas Day lunch. From the pink champagne to the risotto dish, everything was absolutely stunning. The views were incredible, as it was a lovely sunny day, we watched the sun set from the roof. The only disappointment was after getting out of the lift in the lobby, we took a couple of photos and the team member in this area came up to my friend and said “leave” she was pretty shocked but explained we had just had lunch upstairs and I went over and explained the same. He glared at us and said with his face and actions he did not believe us. We left feeling insulted. But our over riding memory is a fabulous lunch.

Visited in December 2023 where the place is not so busy. The location is great and i believe it’s the best option for newcomers considering a luxury stay. Everything is walking distance away. We stayed in a wonderful suite overlooking the canal. On the downside, I believe its time to start renovating the hotel. Yellowish switches and damaged furniture etc do not belong to such pricey 5 star hotel
