Vera de Bidasoa Hotels with Breakfast

I spent two nights here and received excellent support as I was recovering from very bad food poisoning from a nearby restaurant. The staff was quick to check on me regularly (I was alone) and made sure the doctor was able to contact me. They allowed me to get into a room before check-in time as I was barely able to stand up by the time I got there (after a visit to ER to get some medicine). Someone else (my breakfast mate that day) on a parallel tour woke up covered with bed bug bites while I was free from having any. When she showed the front staff all of her bites, they basically ignored her. Not a good sign. I feel ambivalent about this as I was treated very well, my room was clean, quiet, and spared of any bugs. She had a completely different experience. Breakfast was your typical European choice of breads, jams, cheeses, juices, yogurts, etc. I was too sick to eat but was at least able to drink a bit to stay hydrated. I loved the old feel of the place and had a good experience with the staff but I’m not sure I’d go back considering the problem with bed bugs.

We had a very pleasant time in this renovated mill, surrounded by nature. For a total disconnection it's the best The small river flowing just next to it gives charm to the place. The bedding was just amazingly comfortable. I highly recommend this pleasan
