A l'abri du vent, un superbe camping dans le cratère d'un volcan, proche des macareux et d'un golf magnifique. Belle salle commune, douches chaudes incluses dans le prix 1700 ISK par personne. On adore ! Quel calme !

Place is easy to reach from the harbour also by foot (about 20 mins). Owner is very nice and kind and the experience is overall amazing. But for being a glamping, some things need to be improved: number of toilets first (two aren’t really enough), cleanliness of toilets and shower. The cottage was nice, enough spacious and comfortable.

la struttura sarebbe da 5 stelle che non metto perchè non sono un abituale campeggiatore e quindi il disagio di non avere il bagno in camera mi fa variare il giudizio, fermo restando che i bagni e docce della struttura sono e puliti e ben fruibili. La posizione è fiabesca sotto un anfiteatro di montagne spettacolari,a pochi metri con una piccola passeggiata si arriva alla scogliera sul mare di elephant rock, di fronte c'è un campo da golf curatissimo con scenari spettacolari, Le botti e le casettine sono curatissime e confortevoli, per i campeggiatori penso sia una specie di paradiso e per i non campeggiatori una simpatica e spettacolare alternativa. Consigliato a tutti

Excellent location close to town, but in a serene location right in Herjólfsdalur with nearby trails up the mountain, and grazing sheep! Although I did not do the hike due to windy conditions, it was highly recommended by staff! Very cute and cozy cabins, and good shared kitchen and bathroom facilities just a short walk away.

This establishment is tucked away in one of the coziest corners of the island , and it took me a while to find. It is a bit of a walk from town if you have a lot of luggage. The scenery of the mountains above , with grazing sheep, is awesome. My “barrel “ was clean, cozy and warm! The decor was homey! The shared kitchen, showers, and toilets were immaculately clean..... perhaps a bit of a walk for some. . The kitchen and dining area was was sizable and well-organized.....take your shoes off before entering! The owner was very friendly and eager to inform you on the islands sights. Overall, my two night stay was a great experience , at a reasonable price!
