I have stayed at the Grand Hotel many times in the past and it just gets better. The Buffet breakfast is outstanding and if for some reason there is something different that you require they quickly get it for you, as they did with me with freshly squeezed orange juice. I had a wonderful room on the second floor at the back and did not need the air conditioning on as I could leave the window open as it was so quiet. All the staff are fantastic and helped me with information sheets for all I asked. The Hotel is tremendous value for all the facilities that it offers. Although I was on my own I made good use of the many buses that run from the front and back of the hotel and a train station only a short distance away. I cant wait to return in October and make use of their swimming pool and Restaurant. Their description is perfectly correct - It is a Grand Hotel!

Abbiamo soggiornato per la prima volta in questo hotel sabato notte. Hotel con ambienti comuni eleganti e spaziosi. Molto belli il giardino e la piscina. Personale gentile e professionale. All'arrivo ci hanno comunicato che ci avevano fatto un up-grade della camera mettendoci in una con vista mare al 5° piano! Vista bellissima! Il top oltre alla posizione centralissima dell'hotel è la colazione, veramente di ottimo livello.

Siamo sul lungomare di Viareggio, l’hotel è imponente e di grande fascino e domina come un castello. Parti comuni un po’ vissute ma comunque suggestive. Anche le stanze sono un po’ datate , soprattutto il bagno sarebbe da rimodernare (vasca con doccino) ma anche il pavimento della stanza aveva qualche piastrella spostata. I letti in compenso sono molto comodi , hanno il doppio cuscino, accappatoio e tutto quanto serve. Avevamo la vista sul mare che è comunque suggestiva. Colazione ottima con tanta scelta. Parcheggio interno comodo (a pagamento). Ascensori un po’ lenti. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo a mio parere. A Viareggio difficile trovare meglio a questo prezzo, peraltro sul mare e centralissimo. Consigliato.

Das Hotel, altersmässig ganz grosses Kino, muss man mögen. Imposante Eingangshalle/Rezeption, als wäre die Zeit stehen geblieben. Aber der Reihe nach. Lage: dierekt am Meer, getrennt durch Strasse. Jede Menge eigene Hotel-Parkplätze, 20 Euro pro Tag. (Lohnt sich, da permanente Parkplatzkontrolle) Empfang: extrem Freundlich, hilfsbereit, informativ. Zimmer: Alles sehr alt, 4 Etage, Meerseite, genug Platz, Balkon. Tolles Badezimmer mit Meerblick. Matratzen einsame Spitze, im April nachts noch ruhig. Ab 8 Uhr morgens wirds lauter. Restaurant: wie das ganze Hotel, "schwere, alte schicke Einrichtung". Erst ab 19.30 offen. Essen: ganz ok. Bar: Alter Schick, mit Piano aber im April nix los. Imposantes Treppenhaus. Restaurants an der Meerpromenade eins wie das andere, überall das Gleiche. Aber eben, wir waren Anfang April in Viareggio.

L'hotel Royal, simbolo indiscusso di Viareggio, è uno dei migliori hotel dove ho alloggiato. Sono stato qui per un breve weekend in Versilia e tutto è stato fantastico. Quando si entra nella hall, in stile antico e ben conservata, sembra di arrivare nel castello di un regnante. Il personale cortese e gentile è sempre pronto a fornire informazioni e a rispondere alle richieste degli ospiti. La camera era completa e funzionale e inoltre io ho usufruito di un upgrade con balcone vista mare a dir poco stupenda. Ho avuto modo di provare anche la cena; il menu è composto da pochi piatti, ma la qualità è eccellente. La colazione è forse una delle migliori mai trovate in un Hotel con un vastissimo assortimento dolce e salato con molte torte fatte in casa. Un ringraziamento personale va alla professionalità del facchino Emanuele! Per concludere... se volete fare un viaggio a Viareggio o comunque in Versilia il Royal è l'hotel ideale! Sicuramente io ci tornerò!
