Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel

Stayed here for three days. The most important thing we liked: there is a big mosquito net above the bed, so during sleeping you will be quite well protected. The only thing we didn’t really like: the staff always said they had no change, but I know they did. Please handle it if possible.

The hotel room had cracked shower screen bottom of old bed falling away dirty netting over the bed, we were moved to a much better room however had to run hot water for half hour to get a hot shower. People very nice.

Staff are attentive and helpful. Good location and only a short walk to town. Comfortable bedding.

The hotel itself is nice in a convenient location. However they are not very transparent about the cost of airport transfer. Before my stay, I emailed to enquire about airport transfer and was told that the airport shuttle is USD 15 per person, and $30 if it is individual traveller one way. I booked a 2 way transfer as an individual traveller and made payment of USD 60 to the Heritage Expeditions Desk upon arrival at the hotel. On my day of departure, while waiting for the airport transfer to arrive, another guest went up to the desk to ask to take the next airport transfer. The staff charged him USD 20. When my transfer arrived, they asked both of us to proceed to the car. I told the staff that I had paid $30 as an individual and asked they could return me $15 if I was going to be sharing with someone else. The staff then asked the other guest to wait for the next shuttle. To be honest I would have preferred to share and pay less, but of course they want every opportunity to take more money from you.

Staff are attentive and hotel provided shuttle bus to and from Victoria Falls.

The staff at this hotel are the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered in all my travels anywhere in the world. I cannot thank them enough for brightening my day everyday and making the stay so perfect. The rooms are also lovely and clean and the pool area is very pleasant to relax by.
