The location and price are certainly what makes this hotel most attractive. Upon checking in, we were greeted by two extremely competent and kind staff members. This was a theme throughout the stay: staff was always around and ready to help whenever needed! The hotel itself is exactly what the other reviews and images show; it is an old hotel with some minor cosmetic renovations. The hotel was clean, but it was a bit rough around the edges. For example, there was no usable AC in our room; instead, our room had a small oscillating fan sitting on the TV stand. The towel rack in the bathroom was literally ripped off the wall and hanging by a thread. Do not expect a luxury stay, but do expect kind staff and a great location.

The person in charge at the front desk seemed busy but very kind. There was free coffee at the front desk and I used it many times.
Location is good.
The hotel had a room with a bathtub, so it was comfortable.
There are no slippers, so I'm in trouble if I don't bring them.

Clean and great service from the front counter to housekeeping. We booked a room for 4 people. Had only 2 towels. Other than that generally not bad value for money.

Highly recommended.
We wanted to find a place that was central and of the more affordable options in the area. It was both and more.
The building has been kept up, the rooms are in good shape and clean. All the amenities we needed were provided and working. The rotating staff were polite and helpful, with the exiting staff even kind enough to let us store our bags after checkout while we roamed the city a bit more.
We would definitely consider this location as our go-to for reliable options when visiting Victoria.
