Marketa's Bed and Breakfast

Wonderful restaurant quality breakfasts (8:30 to 9:30) but we could make our own beverages or fix meals in the communal basement kitchen. It is pleasnt; our basement room had a little deck with chairs...Only criticism is that my husband would have appreciated a grab bar in the shower.

We stayed at Marketas‘ for three nights as part of our journey through Canada and the United Stated and it was really great. The staff was nice and helpful, the room was clean and they had a variety of delicious breakfasts. Also it was close the the waterfront and a lot of attractions. We can only recommend this B&B!

Marketa’s in Victoria is our go-to place whenever we visit Victoria. It’s right up from the Coho ferry 2 or 3 blocks. Everything is walkable from here. Fisherman’s Wharf, the front street, downtown. The rooms are comfy and quiet. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts are delicious and filling. Just enough to get your day started, as you go on daily journeys. So much to do and see within walking distance. We had our car so there’s even more to see and do (Oak Bay). Marketa’s is easily worth three, four or five nights. It is by far the best deal in town.

Marketa’s employees were very nice, breakfast was delicious. Place was a bit old but very clean and conveniently located. Everything was within walking distances.

During my recent stay at Marketa's bed and breakfast, I was thoroughly impressed by not only the exceptional breakfast( Marketa’s special recipe)but also by the charming and comfortable rooms that this establishment offers. Second time staying at Marketa’s was just as amazing as the first time. My boyfriend and I visited Victoria July 24/21 and we were so impressed by the warm hospitality we felt from her and her staff. Marketa is passionate about heritage homes and it shows in the care she has given to hers. She especially cares about the comfort of her guests and it shows. New air conditioning units have been installed as well as new bathroom fixtures. The whole place is charming and spotless and the bed was very comfortable. You can’t beat the location. What a beautiful neighborhood. A short walk takes you downtown, or to the quaint fisherman’s wharf. Last but not least, don’t miss out on the delicious and photo worthy breakfast! The eggs Benny is my favorite! We will definitely be back to Marketa’s next time we visit Victoria!

It was a last minute trip so we weren't expecting anything spectacular when we booked in but Marketa's has more than surpassed our expectations! Beautifully maintained character house. Staff is so friendly and helpful and the breakfast blew us away! We will definitely be back!
