A true success in every sense. The building, unique and pleasant, located in a perfect spot. The attention, spectacular, typical of the Portuguese. The room was also perfect, pleasant and comfortable, everything in perfect condition. A success, to repeat Porto and the Hotel.

Gorgeous hotel on back streets of Vila Gaia. It's like the Tardis meets the Secret Garden. Go through the front door into an elegant lobby.Lots of lovely space in the inner garden. Pretty breakfast room and we has bedroom in newer section of hotel overlooking the gardens with view of cable cars and World of Wine. All the staff were very friendly and owners especially so. If I was coming to Porto again, I would definitely stay here. Ate out at Vinum at Grahams Port- pricey but worth the experience- and then at two local restaurants on same street as hotel. Cozinha de Ci ( or something like that) run by mother daughter team, 20 covers and full by 7.10pm. Get there early and wait for it to open. Also Taste and Meet Portugal which was ok; girls watiressing were amazing and v friendly...couple of boys bit more powermad and less friendly.

Hidden behind a period exterior, which looks like a shop front, this unique hotel was such a revelation. Ultra modern rooms, a nice lounge area, good breakfast and an honesty bar. We are returning in October and will look forward to our visit. Beware, however, it is on a narrow street. Taxis cannot wait; you must be ready.

Das Hotel wird als zentral und ruhig angepriesen. In der nächsten Nachbarschaft befinden sich jedoch 2 Clubs, die uns schlaflose Nächte bescherten. Unsere Beschwerden wurde von den Mitarbeiterinnen freundlich weggelächelt. Ein Chef des Hauses war nicht in den Tagen unseres Aufenthalts nicht vor Ort und ansprechbar. Die letzte Nacht mußten wir wegen des Partylärms stornieren. Es gab hierfür kein Geld zurück! Ich kann dieses Hotel leider überhaupt nicht weiterempfehlen. The hotel is advertised as central and quiet. However, there are 2 clubs in the next neighborhood that gave us sleepless nights. Our complaints were kindly smiled away by the employees. A manager of the house was not on site and accessible during the days of our stay. We had to cancel last night because of the party noise. There was no money back for this! Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel at all.
