The friendliest and most helpful staff, the best views and good food. The rooms were cool, clean & comfortable. What more could you ask for!! Definitely a memorable experience, and one I'd love to repeat.

A stunning retreat with a lot to offer, from their retreat packages to activities. The villa is just beautiful and the views a must see. Will definitely recommend for any travelers finding themselves in Vilankulos.

My recent stay at Bahia Mar Boutique Hotel in Vilankulos was truly enchanting, and I found the hotel's beauty, especially the stunning gardens, to be a captivating aspect of the overall experience. The beach, pool, and the diverse range of activities available all contributed to a delightful stay, complemented by the friendly and attentive staff. The customer experience manager was particularly friendly. However, I did notice several areas where the hotel could make improvements to further elevate the guest experience. Upon arrival, the airport pick-up experience did not meet expectations. While a young lady with a sign was waiting, there was a 45-minute wait in the car park due to delayed vehicle availability. The non branded mini-vans used for transportation also did not meet the expected standard for a boutique hotel. Improving the airport pick-up service in terms of waiting time and transportation quality would greatly enhance the initial guest experience. Additionally, the time taken for room service and restaurant meals was longer than anticipated for a hotel of this calibre. For instance, my room service order for a prawn salad took nearly two hours to be delivered, and a la carte meals in the restaurant could take up to an hour. The reason given for the delays was that the hotel had a “full house” and the kitchen could not cope with the number of guests. These extended wait times detracted from the overall dining experience and should be addressed. The menu at the hotel, while offering a reasonable food and wine selection, became repetitive and boring after a few days. Introducing different varied set menus for different days would provide guests, particularly those staying for more than a few days, with more dining options, potentially improve the wait times and enhance the overall experience. Furthermore, expanding the limited breakfast menu would offer guests more choices and improve the morning dining experience. The beach in front of the hotel was picturesque, but it could be enhanced by sea**** and rubbish clearance. There was significant build up of sea**** on the beach during our stay there. A cleaner beachfront would create a more visually appealing and enjoyable environment for guests. While the hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, we were disappointed that the menu on Christmas Day remained unchanged. Introducing a special Christmas-themed menu would have added charm to the holiday atmosphere and made the dining experience more festive and memorable for guests. Lastly, the WiFi signal was erratic at times. Improving the coverage and signal strength throughout the property and in the hotel rooms would enhance the connectivity experience for guests. I hope that this feedback is taken as constructive suggestions to further enhance the already wonderful guest experience at Bahia Mar Boutique Hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and believe that with some targeted improvements, the hotel has the potential to provide

We spent 10 wonderful days in this beautiful small hotel. We were lucky that our room was upgraded and we got the Beach Suite. We had a wonderful rest and really enjoyed the hotel's service. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The fitness centre was well equipped and the yoga lessons are also recommended. The breakfast was very good, the wine selection was varied - the price-performance ratio was very fair. The only negative point at dinner: for me personally, there were too few vegetarian options.

We had a fabulous stay at Bahia Mar. Excellent service, so nice staff, nice food and great accommodations. I like these smaller more familiar stays. Many possibilities to have an active day or just stay lacy by the pool or on the beach. We had a wonderful day out at Bazaruto on the dunes, spotting dugongs and snorkeling. A must is to go out on the village visit the market and perhaps try one of the local restaurants.

Beautiful location on the beach, overlooking the ocean with it‘s shades of blue. The rooms are stunning, Garden Bungalows as well as the Beach Suites. Food at the restaurant is delicious, excellent service and very friendly staff. 5*

We had a Garden Suite. Although not sea-facing they were beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and spacious bathroom suite. There as also an outside area with sun beds and the suite had a lovely sense of privacy. The food was generally good, magnificent breakfast, the waiting staff were delightful and attentive without being overbearing, and the cleaning staff were very thorough. All in all a great break in the sun.
