Adobe Village Inn

When we arrived, there was no way of finding out where the room was and we didn’t even have a code to get in to our room. It was like a reverse escape room. Instead of trying to get out, you’re trying to find a way in. Rooms were nice back when the place opened. The pictures advertised are from back when the place opened. And that was a long time ago. Description was very misleading. So if you want to go on an adventure finding your room and getting in, this is the place for you. Good luck!

Does anyone know how to get ahold someone in corporate for this location?

While the location was good and the views were nice, the accommodations need help. We stayed in the Sedona Suite and found an old tired room in need of attention to repairs, cleanliness (air ducts were filthy), and working amenities. The bar sink fixture was so loose I expected it to fall into the cabinet at any moment. The gas fireplace in the bathroom was not functional. It would take an hour, at best, to fill the jacuzzi tub with water due to low water pressure at the tub. There was no firewood for the other fireplace in the living room and it hadn't had ashes cleaned out from previous fires. The fireplace also had a chunk of rock missing and unrepairable. The reserved parking spot for this suite was blocked by construction debris and a pile of dirt (we were not advised of this inconvenience before arrival) . The air intake ducts for the hvac were caked with dust and the unit smelled of dust. The unit didn't have its own thermostat and temperature was controlled by a thermostat that serviced the entire building. There was no ice available in the kitchen area freezer or separate ice maker. I'm not one to complain over small things but a lot of small things do add up. This place needs some attention to detail.

A very frustrating visit to Adobe Village Inn We originally reserved the Sunset Villa but just prior to our arrival were notified of a maintenance issue. The solution offered was for us to stay the first night in a Suite and the next 3 nights in the Wilderness Villa. We were not happy with this, but it was too late to make other arrangements. Wilderness was the least desirable of the villas. We requested and were granted a 20% refund which we appreciated. Note: There is no on-site service. All communications are by text. Whoever handled it was as helpful and courteous as they could be. But there were more issues than solutions. Overall, the condition of the property is not consistent with the way it is beautifully displayed on the website. THE GROUNDS - Landscape unkempt, unfinished construction in multiple areas, old dirty hose by the entry door, unrepaired damage to the stairs. THE SUITE - Damaged interior door lock with missing cover created a safety concern. - Hallway dark making it difficult to see keypad. - Closet storage that looked like a restaurant back room. - Mismatched toilet seat. - Filthy ladder storage container on deck. - Common kitchen area on main level looks like a storage facility. Multiple lights out - Windows dirty - Felt deserted THE MOUNTAIN VIEW VILLA The room is beautiful, but the maintenance was not. - A tiny TV that could not be watched from bed. - A channel guide that was totally confusing. No reference to network TV channels that could be interpreted. - The TV cable had been disconnected for some reason. Wasted a lot of time trying to diagnose the problem. - No instructions on use of the TV. - No Kleenex provided. - Barely a tablespoon of coffee grounds left - we had to buy our own. - Ragged and torn patio door screen. - Poor condition of lounge chairs. Not cleaned for use. - All the patio furniture looked old and worn. - Torn and inoperable window shade in bathroom. - Poorly designed waterfall shower. We loved it, but you had to practically get your nose on the wall for it to hit your head. Individually, none of these issues would have been significant, but collectively they substantially impacted the quality of our stay and the value we paid for and did not get.

Very disappointed. Stayed in the Lonesome Dove Villa. A large unit, very spacious. Unit is outdated, worn and in serious need of a remodel. Bedding looked old and discolored. Probably needed to be washed. Sofa was falling apart, gross to sit on. Shower head and sprayer were full of mineral buildup and sprayer did not work. Old old old, too much to list. In the Inn, the coffee was out, only 1 coffee cup left, trash was literally over flowing from the waste basket, photo copies of hiking maps were empty. The fire extinguishers in the Inn and room hadn’t been inspected since Dec 2022 and expired in Dec 2023, it is now Oct 2024. The large patio paver expansion had a work stop order tag on it from Yavapai County due to no permit. Who is running this place? Was not a good experience especially for the money. We will never be back.

We love this property. Absolutely beautiful views and the cutest rooms. Love setting on patio with a cup of coffee looking directly at the red mountains. Service was amazing, clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to the next trip. Great place to have a retreat.

We enjoyed our stay in the Tumbleweed room. The room was cozy and clean and the fireplace in working order. The common outside area was lovely for sipping coffee in the morning. We felt staff were helpful and available if needed during the day, but interactions were short and to the point. This interaction was fine with us but might be lacking if you are expecting an experience with more welcoming, involved hosts that are interested in conversation and providing recommendations.

Very tasteful decor, my garden suite room had a lot of natural light, was very clean and spacious. Grounds were well kept, beautiful patio, jacuzzi and gardens. The location is perfect for walking a very short distance to hook up to the Bell Rock area trails. The bed was so comfortable, loved my private deck to eat meals and look out at the beautiful scenery. Very peaceful and beautiful.
