Las Posadas of Sedona

Great spot, clean, comfortable and beautiful

Great place, close to so many attractions and great local restaurants, distilleries and golfing. December was cold but if you’re prepared it wasn’t that bad.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel that has all of the amenities. Went with my daughter who is a wedding florist and had a wedding in Sedona. We were just there for an overnight. Room was super clean and we had a large suite with a kitchen, and living room. Also a small patio so we could enjoy the great weather. They have a nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast was included and everything was cooked to order. Staff was great. Hope to be able to go back.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. Our reservation was canceled 2 hours before arrival at the hotel, leaving us stranded. We were traveling with small children, and this left us scrambling at the last minute to find another place to stay. As expected, most hotels were already booked, and we ended up paying significantly more for a last-minute option that was far from ideal. The reason for the last minute cancellation was an “air conditioning” issue which seemed so odd given how quickly things like that are typically fixed in hotels. After speaking with a few locals in Sedona, we were told this kind of situation often points to overbooking. I can’t confirm that, but the timing and handling certainly didn’t feel transparent. Regardless of the reason, canceling on guests with virtually no notice, especially when they are already traveling is completely unacceptable. Emergencies can happen, but canceling at the last minute with no real support or accountability is inexcusable. Avoid if you don’t want your plans disrupted.

Overall it needs some tender loving care. Rooms are very outdated to be called a boutique hotel. The grounds are lovely and well kept. The breakfast was a disaster. If the cook calls himself a chef, he is badly in need of training. He had no butter to cook with so everything he made came out dry and stuck to the pan. It was so nasty. I had French toast so I asked for butter, no butter, I asked for syrup and he hands me a gallon jug. The mint water had scum on it like it hadn’t been changed for days. Dishes piled up first thing in the morning. It was crazy. So sad because it really could be a place to make great memories. The only real plus was Cat their front desk person. She was delightful!!

Do not waste your money. It bills itself as a boutique place but it just doesnt hit the mark . The room smelled awful of cleaning products, the furniture needs refreshing, rhe walls are rhin, we had people upstairs and they were loyd, so no soundproofing, the sheets and towels smell of laundry soap. Breakfast was disappointing. The space itself not paid attention to. One person making omelettes but there was cereal with no milk out, utensils were not totally clean. You have to wait a long time for an omelette. There was a fruit bowl with overripe bananas. You get the idea. Way oversold this place. They need some service attention from new management.

The room was spacious. We loved the fireplace. A very quaint property with lots of nice outdoor touches.

We had a great night in Las Posadas, the rooms are spacious and clean and we appreciated the gas fireplace, coffee machine and great breakfast served in the morning.
