The hotel’s transportation is not particularly convenient. It’s not easy for our car to go to a meeting every day. We have to walk a long way to get to the station, but this hotel is relatively new beside the main road, so the sign is very obvious and it is relatively easy to find the hotel’s front desk I did not wear a uniform. It looked like a part-time job. The room was simple compared to domestic hotels. The room was very crowded and small. The only surprise is the hotel’s breakfast, which is richer every day.

Mr very welcome at our arrival small room very comfortable and beautiful we didn't sleep well these very clean , small restaurant very beautiful lunch just a little it could make more choice but overall it is okay , In contrast to a staff woman I gave the impression of being watching as I was infiltrated in the hotel for lunch she asked my room number what is normal but looks insisting , strange . Stayed here as part of tour to watch the rugby at the nearby stadium. Fantastic location, just a 15-20 minute walk to stadium and 5-10 walk to local shopping centre with all the big stores including an Auchan, and also where the Metro station is located. Like elsewhere in France most places closed on a Sunday so the area is very quiet but only a 10 minute ride on the Metro and you are in the centre of Lille, with plenty of squares with great bars and cafes. The staff at the Ibis were lovely, friendly and very helpful, but had great sympathy for them on the Saturday evening as the bar was very crowded as people returned from the rugby match, wanting drinks and pizzas, I’m sure they would have appreciated more staff. We had a great pizza and watched the evening matches which were shown on the TV and large screen. I thought, from reading reviews, that breakfast may be disappointing but no, a lovely surprise, not busy and plenty of choice, choice of teas, fruit juices and coffee , pastries , some fruit and a small cold meat selection, and a small hot choice of bacon, sausages and scrambled egg, the egg was not very warm but just a very small complaint, thoroughly enjoyed everything! I would not hesitate to recommend this Ibis hotel, and a big thank you to the staff.

We stayed for 2 nights in September 23 for the rugby World Cup. Firstly as you enter the reception area, which is just a desk and a lift, the stench from the bin room was unbearable. To get to the room on the 6th floor we had to walk down a graffiti covered corridor (not sure if it's meant to be art?). The room itself was big enough but felt more like 'student digs' than a hotel room. The toilet was separate from the shower room & had no soap or towel rail, just a small sink with a towel actually in the sink. The shower head was floppy meaning it had to be held onto. But the worst part of it was, after paying €400 for 2 nights, the room was not cleaned! When we asked why the room wasn't cleaned, we were told they are only cleaned once a week! I have never experienced this in any hotel I've stayed in before and I'm shocked at the poor service. Needless to say I will never use tulip inns again.

We used this hotel (incidentally NOT the building in the adjacent photograph) due to its proximity to the Lille Stade. A very good location, therefore. Check-in and out was perfect, the rooms were small but best of all was the bar stayed open all day and night before and after the game. The price of the rooms were five times the normal due to the RWC. Market forces.
