Myself and my wife visited Vilnius at the end of April and had a lovely weekend, also in part because of our relaxing stay at this hotel. It’s a classic hotel with the elegance and style that some might not like, but for us it was perfect. We were greeted by Andrius, who was exceptional at the front of house reception. He gave us a map and a route to walk the next day, pointed out restaurants and bar areas and sights to see. Our room was a business or superior double, a large room looking onto the back courtyard, very quiet and a comfortable bed. Exactly what we needed for a restful sleep and weekend. Some rooms are small in hotels and you spend little time in there. This was comfortable enough for two to chill out in for a couple of hours while we got ready. Heated bathroom floors were a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious, open late which we appreciated and we spent over an hour ending up with coffee outside in the courtyard in the warm morning sun. We didn’t try the restaurant but the main dining room was elegant with formal diners and two events while we were there. We didn’t use it. The taverna next to the restaurant with on street tables looked good. We didn’t use the pool (it’s small but cute) or the underground spa. I had a look but wasn’t on our to-do list. The hotel is in a perfect spot, 17 mins in a taxi from the airport. Right in the old town with small bars and cute restaurants right on the doorstep. Start your walks around the old town, or walk to the busy bar area easily from here. If you want a modern hotel there are other good hotels in Vilnius I’m sure. If you want classic, refurbished with great service don’t hesitate to book this one. We’ll stay here next time we come!
