My overall experience was great. When I arrived, the room I booked was not ready. I was offered another available room. The property was huge and had amazing views unfortunately the room I was given had a tiny window therefore I could not admire the views from my room. Other than that, the experience was great, and I want to return soon. The spa was phenomenal and located right next to my building. Recommend for quiet and relaxing stays.

My husband and I attended an event. Our amazing visit started at check in with Tyler and AnnaMarie. They greeted us with smiles and a warm welcome. The hotel was amazing and clean. Our room was a comfortable temperature and spotless. I talked with Tyler and AnnaMarie during our stay and found them genuinely engaging. Thank you Tyler and AnnaMarie, you are gems.

The grounds are lovely and the hotel is generally charming. The decor is a bit dated, but given how they committed to the neo-colonial theme, it works. There’s some wear and tear, but nothing egregious. The gym facilities could use some improvement. The cardio equipment is nice/up to date, but several of the weight machines were in bad shape (e.g. two machines with tape wrapped around the handles).

Beautiful place with excellent staff! Very clean, food was delicious at onsite restaurant and our server Emily was the best!! We will definitely stay here again!

The Founders Inn was wonderful. I wish the Spa had not booked during my stay. The servers/bartenders were all awesome and deserve a raise! We will be back next year!

I just left Founder's Inn Swan Terrace, where a group of 4 of us had Easter Brunch. When it came time for us to pay and leave, we asked for our checks and were told that the bill for the entire party of 4 was charged to the person who made the reservations back in February. It was quite a surprise and very upsetting to us all. I received a confirmation call on Friday and they did not say that this credit card would be charged for the entire bill. I thought it was, as usual, to confirm the credit card number to hold the reservation. We were informed today at the table that a change in payment was made this week. We were not informed when we made the reservations and received confirmation back in February. It was a shock and it will be a large inconvenience to have the other people get the money back into my account as well as being short now, $308.00. I am an individual and have no way of accepting credit cards for repayment. They will have to get cash or write me a check, which will take time to clear before it is added back to my account. I have other bills to pay, which may make me short. Our Server, Emily was very nice and very efficient. Chris the manager, was very indifferent and could care less about the inconvenience. Said he was sorry. We have come to Founder's Inn for several years, every holiday buffet. We always had a good time. We will not be returning to Founder's Inn. If they think this little of their customers, that they don't consider that one person cannot afford brunch for all the members at the table. I have rated this a 3 based on the payment change, the food was good. We will never be returning.

One of our favorite things to do is visiting The Founders Inn at Easter and Christmas! We really enjoyed seeing Lauren again who made our experience at The Swan Terrace really special. We also had a chance to chat with Emily who is always so friendly. After brunch we walked around the beautiful English garden and we really enjoyed our day!

This is a lovely, gracious Georgian Colonial property, designed, furnished and decorated with historic dignity. Hilton manages it for Regent University, and for the most part, they have not upended the classic and elegant decor entirely, as they have elsewhere. My room does have a few of ill-fit modern, sleek lamps but it's balanced by chinese ginger jar lamps on the end tables and a nice blue wall color. Hilton hopefully will leave the early American wallpaper motif and sconces in the hallways as they are OF THE PERIOD. I did notice a few lounge chairs in public areas with that dreadful zig-zag pattern in blue and gray - the only colors used in today's vomit-inducing decorating schemes. Adore the bar with Dorothy Draper-like colors and fabrics looking back to a decorating pattern long gone.

The property is absolutely beautiful!!! I can't say that enough. Since learned during holidays some perks are closed when staff is short. Example; spa, bar....looking forward to those items. However, absolutely beatiful property and will go back!
