Check in was easy and pleasant. The young lady who works the night shift time frame was very helpful in getting me checked in and telling me about local restaurants. On checking in, my room was clean. I stayed there for 2 weeks and can’t really think of any major issues. My room (room 605) had a small TV issue. The picture quality was very sporadic with some of the channels like ABC. It cut in and out. The engineer attempted to fix it but was unsuccessful. Again, i considered this a very minor issue. Breakfast was what you’d expect from a Marriott. There is a free self serve laundry room on site that I used. The room kitchen was sufficient for making small meals. All in all, it was a nice stay and I’d absolutely recommend this hotel to others. Well done Marriott.

Family trip to Virginia Beach . We got a 2 bedroom suite it was great. Large space and very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. Dean, Keith & Lex at the front desk were amazing. Very pleasant. Help us with different choices where we wanted to eat and things to do. Great location to the Town Center. So many things to do there. Virginia beach is about 15 minutes away. Wonderful place to stay.

This is an animal shared hotel. they do bot have desinated areas for the pet that come and that is a nasty mix. not to mention a hardership on the housekeepers to maintain these rooms. those with pers should have their own floors. The VIEWS are stunning!

Utter disappointment and lack of customer service displayed by manager. I booked the room and did the mobile check in. My business pulled me away and I had to fly in nxt day. Imagine my surprise when I found out my room was given away despite being charged the 1st night. No courtesy call to follow up on time of arrival, no email re cancellation. Was told they did not have to. I told them I did check in on the mobile app and was given some BS story about fraud. I asked them is the mobile app not secure? Because they have my cr card info….no response to that. I have been w Marriott for 10 years, a titanium elite member and I would think customer service means going a little above and beyond considering I was about to pay $1200 for stay. This is the problem with people in customer service rolls. I was not asking for anything except a courtesy follow up phone call or an email and not a manager saying I don’t have to call you. I have filed a formal complaint w Marriott. Manager should work on their customer service skills.

The place was clean and very quiet. The only problem I had was the perfume smell. The lobby smelled like perfume. A cleaning agent or air freshener possibly. The first room we went to was loaded with fragrance. The front desk agent was very accommodating with changing our room. That room was much better but we bought baking soda to absorb what was there and some would leak into the room from the hall. I am very allergic to fragrance. I was on Zyrtec the entire stay. The hotel is nice, clean and everyone is friendly. It's just not the place to stay if you have allergies to fragrance

The front end manager and GM are horrible. Before booking please note this hotel uses the Marriott brand but is not actually owned or operated by Marriott. If you have any issues, it is left to the discretion of the staff. The morning of my checkout — the weather was bad and roads were flooding. I asked for a late checkout of an hour past regular checkout. Instead of being told it was not available or something customer service friendly — I was told by the front end manager as a Silver Elite member I was not “entitled” to a late checkout. Could not believe what I heard and asked to speak to the GM who then said yes that is the language we use — you are not entitled. I can handle being told late check out is not available but never have I heard a customer being told they are not entitled!

The young man at the desk did not accept our military identification for the leisure rate. We ended staying only the one night. It as late and we didn’t want to be running around looking for a room. Please make sure that whoever is cleaning g the rooms that they empty the garbage from the previous guests. Makes me feel that maybe the room is cleaned after people leave

When I booked the room I saw the hotel was pet friendly, but there was no asterisk or anything saying an additional fee. You must navigate through all the drop-downs to find out. Upon my arrival I was informed of a $100 carpet cleaning fee. At that point I couldn’t go elsewhere and was stuck. I told the front desk person I didn’t see the fee and even called Marriott, who said it’s up to the hotel. I would have stayed elsewhere had I known. Dean, the snide front desk person, told me to go elsewhere if you didn’t like their policy. He had me sign some outdated pet papers. Dean also blew my mind when I informed him I would be writing an unflattering review and he said “awesome”. He must think negative reviews are actually good. Unlike many other hotels, I wasn’t given anything for my pets, no bowls, mats, or even a sign to place on the door saying there was a pet inside. The room was nice however I was unimpressed by the cracked tiles in the tub area as well as the rusty bathroom door (probably due to the lack of decent ventilation while taking a shower). Upon checking out 2 days later, I found that Keith, the Front Office Manger, was just as snide as Dean, making for a great team. Being pet friendly is one thing, but pet friendly hotels shouldn’t rip people off in the process. There is more to a hotel than the room, I think it’s called hospitality, which was lacking here. Yes, good hospitality is awesome. I wouldn’t stay there again and warn others to beware of Marriott’s pet friendly hotels.

This was such a nice hotel, I would definitely stay here again. We had a smooth check-in, and the person working the front desk was friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable and was perfect for business travel. I was only there for one night, so I didn't use the kitchen, but it was fully stocked and would be perfect if you were staying for a longer trip and didn't want to eat out every day. It had a fridge/freezer, sink, microwave, stovetop, and dishwasher, plus plenty of counter space - including a few counter stools. The room also had a big couch, large desk area, a really nice walk-in shower, a closet, and a nice built-in with a countertop that was perfect getting ready. The hotel looked new, so I was surprised when the front desk clerk said it was 4 years old. The finishes were nice, it was well-maintained, and it was clean. The hotel is about half a mile from an area with a lot of shops and restaurants. From friendly staff to the clean and comfortable rooms, I definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
