Donners Hotel

It was very cold in the room on arrival, extremely responsive and the WIFI in the room had lousy coverage, so had to use the neighboring hotel's open WIFI.

Always stay at Donners when I visit Visby. The hotel has an excellent location within walking distance to the harbor and Visby city center with shopping and restaurants. Good breakfast without any exaggeration in the range. Happy and positive staff. Definitely affordable accommodation. This time, however, I was annoyed at the lack of communication with the hotel. When booking, I expressed, as I always do, a request for a bathtub, then repeated the request via email to the hotel two days before arrival. No response from the hotel. At check-in, I asked how my request had gone, the answer was "I have no idea, I don't know how the rooms are equipped". I didn't get a bathtub, that's perfectly ok, but it's disturbing that the hotel didn't respond to my requests and that in connection with check-in they didn't put a little more energy into the answer to me. Otherwise, I am very satisfied and will be happy to return

Okay, but I expected a little more. The staff were friendly and helpful, but it was lucky that we arrived while the reception was open because the room lacked both the remote control for the TV and toilet paper. It also seems that the heat is not on at night because it was really cold during the night (we arrived at midnight) and only in the morning did the elements really kick in. Okay breakfast, but a bit spartan. I would have expected a slightly wider selection.

When we were going home we left our bags in a locked storage room at the reception, when we came to collect there was no one at the reception and the door to the luggage room was open and unlocked, happily our bags were still there. Didn't feel safe

No morning it had been replenished with shower products, when I pointed this out I was indirectly questioned. "The cleaner said she had stocked up". This doesn't feel right. Replace your small bottles if you are unable to provide these in a good way. Cold in the room. Nice breakfast staff and good breakfast overall.

The hotel is very centrally located in Visby. Sweet and nice staff. Overall a good experience. There was a lot of noise at night, from the bars around the hotel, and the windows are not particularly soundproof. On Friday morning, the bottle containers will be emptied. Then you have been warned 😉
