At first glance it is a very nice hotel, with a beautiful location, a nice swimming pool and a lovely beach. But there are also a number of things that are really substandard for such an expensive hotel (by Albanian standards). This review is about both the hotel and the associated beach bar Sanur. The first major negative thing was that there were ants in our room. Lots of ants. Even one in the bed. Even though we reported this 3 times, nothing was done about it. Most of the staff are rude and not helpful at all. Housekeeping also left the sliding doors to the terrace open, making the room accessible from outside all day long. This also turned out to be the staff's attitude at the beach. When all the beds at the seaside were occupied, the staff did not want to add any beds, even though dozens of them were messily stacked a few meters away. We weren't even allowed to pick them up and put them down ourselves. It was a problem that we had to solve with the reception, even though a solution would have been so quick and easy. It was also quite messy in other places in the resort, for example with maintenance items and cleaning supplies. A final point that was very strange is that there were hardly any drinks available at the hotel restaurant. The only things available were ice tea, a €50 bottle of wine or €6 Peroni beer. There was no drink such as cola, a glass of wine or a draft beer. It was also not possible to order certain side dishes such as french fries or grilled vegetables without ordering a steak. The breakfast, on the other hand, was really excellent. All in all, it is a beautiful and 'okay' hotel, but it is advisable to lower your expectations in advance.
