This was a destination trip with extraordinary service, vistas and experience. While the food, drinks and activities were remarkably overpriced, the experience outweighs the expense. You arrive on a sea plane to a dock with a waiting St. Regis team, including Vincent the General Manager. Sareer (Peter, a Maldives soccer star) was out butler, and he ferried us to and from our over-the-water bungalow (it too was remarkable as was Sareer). The spectacular service also included the restaurants (Chef Ajim) and the beach and beach bar team (Usam, Ishaq, Isanka, Ramesh, and others). The jet ski and scuba diving expeditions also were more than we could have hoped. The entire island staff learned our names and treated us and every guest like royalty. We are so thankful for the St. Regis team who inhabits this isolated atoll island in the Indian Ocean, as they made it the wonderful experience we will always remember.

I'm convinced the staff here are actually mind readers disguised as hospitality professionals. Every whim was catered to with a smile, often before I even expressed it. The room was a cocoon of comfort, and the restaurant served food so good it made me question every meal I've ever had before. If perfection had an address, this hotel would be it.

It was a great experience!! The service was amazing, and the staff, especially Meera, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Meera's warm welcome and attention to detail made us feel right at home. I highly recommend St. Regis hotel for a luxurious and unforgettable experience in the Maldives!

My husband and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we had a great time at the St Regis. We had emailed them beforehand to book some restaurants and spa treatments. The St Regis experience begins when you get off the plane. When you land in Male, there is staff that greets you and drives you about 5 mins to the lounge to await the seaplane. You are shown a personalized video of your butler welcoming you to the St Regis. The seaplane transfer lounge building has many lounges for all the different resorts. We were the only people in the St Regis lounge and had a drink and small snacks while we awaited the seaplane. The timing of the seaplanes are arranged about 24 hours in advance. We were able to board a sea plane after about 1.5 hours in the lounge. They dropped off other passengers en route and I could see the St Regis greeting was the best as multiple staff members, including your butler are on hand to greet you and give you a welcome drink. Our butler Mami was very thorough and offered great advice. We thought she was wonderful. We have never experienced butler service before and was not sure how much it would add to our experience. She helped us make reservations for dinner, book water activities and spa activities. She also can pick you up and drop you off all over the island and would check in on you during breakfast to go through the day's itinerary. We did the dolphin boat tour but unfortunately did not see any that day due to choppier waters. There was a mechanical issue with parasailing so we did not get to try that either but we did book a snorkel tour and use of the kayak. The snorkeling around the island is good if you ask the staff where to go. Everything has to be imported, including the food. The food quality is pretty good. We enjoyed Cargo which is Middle Eastern and Alba for dinner the best, having tried all of the dining options. We enjoyed daily breakfast at Alba which is included with Marriott platinum status. We stayed in an Overwater Villa and it was the nicest hotel room we've ever stayed out. The private pool and deck were great and we took advantage of enjoying the amazing views. The room is refreshed while you are at breakfast and again at dinner which is a nice touch. For our anniversary celebration, they decorated the room with balloons, champagne, a cake, and lovely bubble bath. We got a couples massage and divine duo treatment at the spa which we liked, and tried the hydrotherapy pool. All of the staff on the island were very kind, courteous, and very hospitable. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there and plan to come back again in the future.

We returned to the St Regis Maldives for a second time, and it exceeded our expectations again. This time we opted to stay in a beach villa, which was a totally different experience from the first time when we stayed in an overwater villa. Our entire stay was sensational, reflecting the high quality staff and management of the resort. They work so incredibly hard to create a tranquil and idyllic atmosphere. Food was a delight at all the restaurants. Our favorite restaurant was Cargo, which we frequented more than once during our stay. The manager at Cargo (his name escapes me) was outstanding and arranged for us to enjoy a special dish on our last day. We highly recommend the shawarma and shish kebab. The desserts are divine and you must try the date pudding and umm Ali. Breakfast at Alba every morning was a treat. We are not normally breakfast people but at Alba it was something we looked forward to everyday. Each member of the staff was truly exceptional but specifically Tino, Bem, Sam, and Sebastian (Whale Bar). Our butler, Zayaan was very attentive and took great care of us during our stay. He spoiled us by surprising us with sweet treats in our room. Our villa attendant also left lovely notes written in our bathroom mirror or deck door wishing us a good morning and restful night. In terms of activities, the resort has a phenomenal house reef with abundant marine life. There's morning yoga at the yogasala by the spa which was very peaceful. I would like to share a few suggestions with management to enhance the yoga experience. Although I used the provided insect repellent, the bugs in the area can be quite bothersome. It might be helpful to spray insecticide or use incense to deter them. Additionally, while the greenery around the yogasala is beautiful, it obstructs the sunrise. Trimming it a bit could allow for a stunning view of the sunrise during morning yoga sessions. We did the couples massage at the spa and it was absolutely relaxing. Amber and Elvira helped us to decompress and were very attentive during the massage. The gift shop has an observation deck on the 3rd floor so make sure you check it out. The young lady (forgot her name as well) working in the gift shop was friendly and helped us to pick out souvenirs :) Staying at this resort twice has spoiled us. We can't recommend it enough and hope to return again in the future!
