We arrived and were greeted by very unfriendly staff. The room was so small you could hardly stand. Wifi does not work and TV only has news channels or German and Russian shows. The linen was dirty and room room was dingy. Room service food was not fit for human consumption. Windows had not been cleaned in months. Broken glass on the veranda not swept for 11 days while we were there. Quarantine hotel at 70.85 euro a day!!!

I was very lucky because the last room they had at *********** for the lowest price was actually a suite with two bedrooms and two bathroom, being alone I was very large…. The room was clean, I appreciated that towels are changed every three days, not wasting too much water or soap. The shower was large and comfortable, the water was not hot when I showered at night but once I showered in the early morning after bathing in the sea and then it was hot. There was a jacuzzi-like tub in one of the bathroom but not working. There is no complimentary tea/coffee and no fridge. There is a safe. Wifi is good. Breakfast was not super but good, I had dinner once, it’s buffet and average. There is a beautiful swimming pool, big enough to swim. There is no lift and plenty of steps, don’t choose it if you have motility problems. The beach is just behind the hotel, there are restaurants around. Parking is free nearby and you need a car to reach the centre of the city, it’s several kilometers away.

Day 2 of a 10 day quarantine forced stay at 100 Euro a night. Virtually non existent Internet. I've had pay for mobile data just so I can work. We at least had TV on day 1, but now that's been cut off. The hotel refuses to give us cups and plates, insisting its government regulations that we're not allowed crockery. Or wine. They deliver whatever food they decide we must eat every day without being given a choice. And then when I ask for salt it takes 2 hours to arrive. Reception tells me "we'll send it up when we've had breakfast" On the plus side its a nice room (apart from a rotten apple core under a cupboard) with a great sea view. The experience might be better for guests who have a choice, and so the hotel has to try harder. If I turn into a raging psycho killer as in Stephen King's The Shining, you'll know why.
