Hotel Indigo Waco - Baylor

We could hear the people above us running around all night.

LOVED everything about the property except the acoustics & sound control of our room. There's very little insulation from the slightest hallway noises, so we were awakened to families loading up and kids running around. I'd recommend requesting a room at the furthest end of the hallway.

Convenient location to shop, dine and relax.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! This hotel customer service is terrible. I had reservations for next month, 3 weeks from now, when the eclipse will be right over their city. I tied to cancel and found out they had already charged my card for the entire stay (close to $8000!!!) I spoke with customer service at the hotel and their parent company IHG and was told, too bad and they don't care that they will absolutely be able to re -rent these rooms for the eclipse to someone who will want to stay in their city. They will not even consider a 1 night stay to cancel or modify the reservation. So, the rooms will sit empty while they make money for doing nothing.

Hotel was OK for the most part. Shower door did not close properly allowing water to flow on the floor rm 438. BEWARE they charge a ten dollar per day service fee. You initial this on your registration sheet when check in. Very fin print. This practice is bait and switch in pricing I will be staying at the Hilton next time.

Liked the hotel a lot- location was good, parking was easy, staff were great. Everything was clean and up to date. My only complaint was that we really struggled with the wi-fi. Never were able to connect our devices to the wifi, but definitely not the end of the world.

Hotel Indigo Waco-Baylor made a huge unauthorized charge against my credit card! Outright theft. I’ve had a confirmed reservation in place for 10 months to come to Waco for the upcoming eclipse. The hotel sent me a confirmed reservation with a confirmed price for my stay with no down payment required. I booked under IHG’s Best Flexible Rate Offer. Payment is due upon check out. Without authorization, consent or notice this establishment charged me nearly 6 times the total cost of my confirmed reservation 6 weeks in advance. My reservation payment isn’t due till April 9 when I would check out. I asked for refund of this exhorbitant charge in full and they refused. I’ve called them and they refuse to honor the pricing of my long standing reservation. They are pushing for me to cancel my reservation so they can re-book the room at much higher rates. They also changed the cancellation terms and penalties so if I cancel their new policy claims I’d be on the hook for the entire cost of the reservation. I understand it is common for businesses to profit when there is a big event in town, but to make unauthorized charges against someone’s credit card is going to far. They should honor the reservations they committed to. This is warning to others. Hotel Indigo Waco is going beyond what is legal to profit from all the visitors coming for the eclipse. I am pursuing my options to recovery my money. Stress, expense, time hassle and frustration. That’s not what you want when you book a stay.
