Lovely evening meal, of mixed starters (duck spring rolls were great) washed down with some Bowland beers. Pleasant surroundings in a charming village.. Great service from Andrew, Charlotte and Bobby.

A very real credit to the village of Wattisham. A first class facility, excellent management & associated staff, Kitchen produced excellent food, amazing value for money. Restred our faith in British hospitality. The church clock bells a very very small price to pay

We had an excellent stay for 2 nights, we had been to the pub several times but not stayed before. . The food was excellent for an evening meal and breakfast both days. The staff are extremely friendly and professional and could not do enough for you. The owner greeted us on arrival and was most informative and welcoming. The pub is set in the idyllic village of Waddington in The Ribble Valley with plenty of walks and two other pubs close by. Including the small town of Clitheroe. We would highly recommend a visit to the pub and stay. We will definitely visit again in the near future as we love this part of Lancashire.

We sat in the rear garden on a sunny bank holiday Monday. It was busy but the tables were quickly cleared and the food looked very appetising. The landlord gave digs drinks of water and biscuits. There were 3 Bowland brewery ales in draught. They were very well kept. What a lovely experience. We’ll be back. Thank you.

5 Star Sunday Lunch Called ahead to ask if they could fit us in for Sunday Lunch as we were in the area about 10 mins away. Yes was the answer. On arrival the place was very busy with a range of people, families with young children; young couple , older couples , dogs were very welcome too. We opted for the Sunday Lunch which was Beef , Lamb or chicken , so we had chicken and beef. Both arrived piping hot with generous portions of meat, veg , stuffing and Huge Yorkshire puddings and super tasty gravy( a must) , so we scoffed the lot and agreed it was one of the best Sunday Roasts we had had for a while . Great staff and friendly landlord , so definitely recommend the ‘Waddy’ Also parking behind the Pub and lovely rooms should you wish to stay over. Brilliant 😀

A family of 10 of us 4 children and 6 adults just turned up at the Waddington Arms we had not thought to book. The staff did everything they could to accommodate us for an evening meal. The staff are friendly and made us feel really welcome as a family giving the children a table to themselves with games and pictures to colour in. A log stove giving a warm a**osphere with great food and bowland ales perfect. Thank You.

Today was our first visit and we were really impressed. When we arrived a lovely lady explained how service worked, told us to make ourselves at home and find a table, and that they provided table service for food but you were to order drinks at the bar. It was a lovely welcome. There was a good choice on the menu and several options I liked but I opted for the cod and mussels and my husband had a pie. Both were really lovely and the portions were excellent. We had deserts and the lady that took our orders gave me some advice on what to choose as they all sounded lovely. It was a lovely afternoon out, we were made very welcome and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We will look forward to visiting again! Thank you for your hospitality.

Good food served. Staff not interested in the customers in the restaurant. We visited Sunday evening 30th October already booked online. We arrived and had to wait for some time to be taken to our table. We had to ask a staff member that we had booked a table and the staff member was very abrupt and rude. We complemented the food at the end and I asked was the meat local?. The mature man who looked like the owner was not interested in answering the question, just interested in grabbing your money.

The last two occasions my family and myself have made a 30 minute journey to visit what was once our favorite place for lunch for many years has unfortunately turned into a rude and disappointing place. Members of my family made a visit last month and were quite rudely turned away by who was once a very polite older gentleman and always went above and beyond to make us welcome previously. The venue has a beautiful outdoor area which now never seems to serve food outdoors like it’s too much effort. I recently rang the venue to book a table for lunch as didn’t want to travel and be left disappointed, the lady that answered the telephone abruptly told me I couldn’t book on the day which I find strange I have never known any other restaurant/pub that doesn’t take bookings on the day, but hey we decided to risk it on what she described as it’s a first come first severed basis, I asked if the outdoor area was available which was assured it was. We arrived at 1pm to be told yet again abruptly by the older gentleman no availability even though there were empty tables inside, and a completely empty outdoor area both at the front and rear of the venue, couples arriving after us were also turned away. Everyone from this venue were welcomed at the pub up the road which was a lot busier but still allocated a table. Absolutely discussed to say the least. Won’t ever visit again.
