Great hotel with very competent and friendly and professional staff. Special mention for Ruwanthika and Asela top. I recommend this place!😉 The food is super good you can eat local or international. The room is spacious and we have a view of the Indian Ocean.

The cuisine was delightful, offering a diverse options, accompanied by an impressive selection of desserts , we enjoyed the food. The service provided by Chef Hisham, Chef Jagath, and Thilina was excellent. I look forward to returning in the future.

I’ll start with the positives, lovely sea views from the room, the lady in the spa was amazing, best massage I’ve ever had absolute credit to the hotel. Now to the negatives, this is not a four star hotel, far from it. Over an hour to check in is ridiculous I’ve had the booking for over 8 months and I arrived at 4:30am so this was the last thing I needed. The food is of a 2/3 star, this hotel mainly caters to locals there are minimal offerings other than curry and the same fish in a slightly different sauce, and the food is very similar each night, after 3 nights I got fed up, the kitchen will make French fries etc to order but I feel like there are minimal healthy options other than salad every night. There is no entertainment in the evenings unless you ask for it, the entertainment is only provided at the weekends when the locals stay but then there are no seats available due to the large number of locals staying at the weekends, and being a female solo travelling I was made to feel uncomfortable as I was constantly looked and pointed at. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, you have to ask for your bed sheets to be changed (I have been here nearly 10 nights now), there’s the smell of drains in the shower as well as grubby water marks and a general damp feel to the bathroom. The pool areas are decent but exposed nails and bug ridden wooden sunbeds are a little bit of a put off. We’ve had power cuts, no hot water in the time I’ve been here. Half of the restaurants advertised online aren’t open, yet to locate the snack bar and asked staff members who just shrugged their shoulders, when to the poolside bar to order a Diet Coke and was told it opens at 10am and went back to check my phone for the time it was 9:58 and he was sat behind the bar doing nothing. Overall I would not recommend there are far too many issues here, there are far better hotels around. Many of the reviews on here are from locals who tend to stay one night either a Friday or Saturday which is miss leading when you’re looking to stay for longer.

This is our second stay at Turyaa. Their service is really appriceative. One of their service provider, Mr. kavindu in main restaurant was very friendly and really supportive for us. The room was clean and tidy. The foods were nice and tasty....

The rooms were spacious and clean and the pools were good. However, the food quality wasn't that great and barely had any variety for lunch and dinner. 3 star food options for the buffet, which was disappointing. As a 4 star, you expect better quality food and more options

Very bad experience. Terrible customer service. Went with full board package and food was not that standard. We couldn't get the rooms until 4pm and didn't allow any extra water bottle. Not recommended at all.

I am staying at the property for 5 days with my parents. The staff is verbally kind and friendly. I got upgraded to a nice room so my parents are comfortable with a long stay period. Lalith is looking after our room and making sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. Uditha at front desk is always helpful with a smile. Dharmadasa at the gym is a professional physical fitness coach. He made sure we did our exercises right and educated us how to continue our training properly. F&B team is always attentive and friendly. Lahiru and the team is excellent. Everyone is trying to make sure guests are happy. It makes the hotel feel like home.

We, at the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka selected Thuryaa Hotel - Kaluthara for our annual get- to - gather. We wanted to have some group and individual games activities organized. The Animator team did a fantastic job for us. They are well experienced and friendly and cooperative. Food is fantastic and swing pool is big enough for our team to play and enjoy. I must write an appreciation note about Chief Engineer Kalum and R & B manager Thilina for giving us their personal attention to us. Our experience at the Thuryaa Hotel will remain with us for so long. Highly recommended the hotel.
