I gave the highest rating only based on my feelings. Among many vacations spent on various warm seas in hotels from 2 to 5 stars, this one was the most comfortable, homely, calm “like a grandmother’s in the village” (only in Sri Lanka). If the main thing for you on vacation is to be “licked,” then this is not for you, but... We read in advance about the features of this country, about the inhabitants, about the criminal situation, so we calmly plunged into the local life of the coexistence of Buddhists and Hindus , Muslims, Christians, etc. Yes, the hotel is modest, but it has everything you need: a very comfortable bed, air conditioning, shower, small old refrigerator, TV (ours didn’t work, but we brought movies on disk and watched through it) and safe. In the building where the administrator is, of course, the repairs are rather poor, I think this is a story due to the tsunami at the beginning of 2000, but there is a new small one, everyone who wanted to moved there. We didn’t, we had a blast! We were alone on the 3rd floor, the balcony overlooked the ocean, there was silence and jungle all around (sometimes living creatures came from there, but not scary, but very curious), there were few guests, no one bothered each other. A green courtyard with sun loungers, a fresh pool, awnings (you could eat under them, not only in the dining room), and behind the courtyard, 50 meters away, there is a WARM OCEAN! Yes, these are waves! But it’s shallow there, so swinging in the waves was an absolute delight! We didn’t even sunbathe, we ran from our room to swim 4-5 times, my husband swam far from the shore, but I was excited. Some tourists were sunbathing on sun loungers in the courtyard. In the evening we went out to admire the sunset, an incredible combination of a beautiful sight and the sound of the ocean! And what a starry sky there is! There is no illumination of large cities, therefore, having seen Orion, you can identify other constellations and large stars that are visible to the very horizon in the ocean and flow into the stars of the lights of numerous fishing boats and mix with the flying lights of fireflies. Bliss! Peace and quiet! During the day we wandered around the outskirts of the village, got acquainted with the life of the locals, found shops with excellent dairy products, and often replaced lunch in a cafe with them and delicious small bananas. At first we were puzzled by the constant in the form of a daily omelette with vegetables for breakfast, plus a plate of fruit (bananas, papaya, watermelon, pineapple - pineapple is added everywhere!!!!), then we got used to it, came home, it was no longer enough. Dinners had a choice of 2-3 options. Everything was delicious for me (shrimp, tuna, chicken, pork, shark and some other local fish), only I liked the shark more, and my husband preferred tuna. Outside the hotel we tried other marine life, there are many eateries. Dinner was complemented with ice cream, no cookies! Hooray! Minus 2 kg in 11 days! The staff is very friendly, but, to put it in our language - “don’t care”, if you ask, they will do it, but tips do not greatly affect the quality of performance, but only on the expression of willingness to help... This is by no means a minus, it’s just a fact, just they are! We met the tropical shower, we were impressed,
