Waiheke Island Motel

We just had an unexpectedly delightful experience at the Waiheke Island Motel, so much so that we added another night because we simply couldn't get enough of the place! Our stay began with a minor hitch: arriving late in the evening to find our pre-booked studio room was locked. However, the way the night manager and the team handled this was truly remarkable. They quickly resolved the issue by giving us a significant, stress-free upgrade to a spacious whole house with four bedrooms instead of our original studio. This immediate, generous response demonstrated exceptional hospitality and turned a potential frustration into the highlight of our trip. The motel's location is ideal; it offers a wonderfully quiet and peaceful atmosphere, yet it's in very close proximity to both the shops and the beach. We appreciated the on-site pool and the spa options, and the minute's walk down to the community Saturday market was a fantastic bonus. Our only piece of constructive feedback relates to the spa itself—unfortunately, the cleanliness was not up to standard, which was a slight disappointment. Despite the minor issue with the spa, the exceptional service, comfortable accommodation, and prime location mean we had a fantastic trip. Crucially, the price was quite reasonably priced compared to other places on Waiheke, offering excellent value for money. We will definitely return to Waiheke Island Motel!

The location is very good, you can walk to the stores nearby, centralized to travel to all wineries and beaches. Room are clean, good view into the valley, clean supplements with free small milk.

No good

Poor customer service and communication and not clean at all. A friend booked for us and paid the first night, then when we checked out and wanted to pay the second night no one was at the desk or answering the phone… also found cockroaches in the bathroom cabinet and cobwebs all over the place. Not worth the price at all

-10 out of 5. Paid $250 US. ,440nz. I saw Kelly in town and told him a few things needed. Such as replacing a broken can opener. TP. He says, request coming. Well it never came. We were later told that those items will not be provided. Hum. Ok. Is he scamming his guests? I left a note saying there were safety issues, would Kelly like me to review them. No response. I left a note because the office is never open. I stayed there in December for 15 nights. Saw Kelly for a few minutes the whole time. Smoke alarm had to be reset. Which little 5 foot me, had to climb on a chair and whack it with a broom. Fridge door wouldn't shut because the freezer was caked in ice. Toilet wouldn't stop running. I'm not a complainer. But this was over the top terrible. I have family in waiheke. They told me to not ever stay there again. There are many other options.
