We stayed here before for a hockey tournament. Good place for sports teams. Continental breakfast has a decent selection. There are powered parking stalls which came in handy during the -50 snap. We had some trouble at check in. The front desk lady was very confused. I booked the room in my name and called to add my teammate to the booking so she could get keys in case she arrived before I did. My teammate was able to check in and get a key for me. The lady at the front desk told her I would need to come to the front desk to verify my credit card. When I arrived, I stopped at the front desk and said I understand my teammate/roommate “def” is already here, but you need to verify my credit card? My name is “abc” but “def” checked in for us. Her: okay so you’re “ghi?” Me: No my name is “abc” Her: Yeah so you’re already checked in Me: I know. “def” arrived before me. I need to verify my credit card. Her: So you’re “def” ? Me: No. I’m “abc” Just not super customer service oriented. When our room was cleaned, they took the mini bar soap we used probably 3x and gave us a brand new one. I felt like this was very wasteful. The security latch on our door was a little sus – looked like someone tried to do forced entry on a stay before us. Other than that, decent hotel and would probably come back again if we are here for another tournament. The staff were accommodating and I overheard them checking to make sure people's rooms were warm enough.
