Itagaki motokoWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel during our Japan trip. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a beautiful atmosphere and excellent facilities. Staff members were polite, helpful, and always smiling, making us feel very welcome from check in until departure. The location was convenient, close to restaurants, attractions, and public transport. Breakfast was delicious with many choices, and the overall service exceeded our expectations. Everything was smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would definitely return again in the future someday soon.

Guest UserLocation 8/10:
close to the JR station where the buses are as well.
close to a convenient store where you can buy all your necessities.
for those who wants to take a taxi, there's one station nearby.
Restaurants are a little too far, the closest sento is a little too far.
Staff 8/10:
mostly self services, teas and water and other stuff near the check in counter. they have staff to clean your beds for your, if you wish (open or close the door to your bed in the morning).
facilities 5/5:
Shower, sinks, and toilets are very clean. They provide the towels for every night you stay there.

The hotel is situated at a secluded corner of Wakayama prefecture. It is much preferable to drive here rather than relying on the infrequent hotel shuttle. Public transport is otherwise non existent.
There are no restaurants around the hotel. However the hotel provides delicious meals with abundant fresh seafood. The in room dining experience is superb. The hotel staff service is impeccable.
The room has a spectacular sea view allowing you to see the sunset on clear days. The onsen also faces the sea which provides a relaxing experience.
A downside is that the hotel does not seem to sanitize the slippers for indoor use. All hotel guests had to change to their slippers to access their indoor facilities.

The room was clean and the facilities were complete. The front desk gentleman was warm and polite to take me to the room. The location was not far from Wakayama Jr. The downside was that there was no elevator and it was not suitable for girls with large luggage.

Great place to stay close to the train and us station. Staff super nice and friendly, they helped me accommodate on a quiet room as I'm a light sleeper.
Very recommended, I would definitely stay here again!

This was the biggest room I've ever stayed in Japan. It was fully equipped and clean, with a charming old-school vibe. The service was excellent, and Wakayama itself is a great place to explore. Highly recommend!

Guest UserSecond stay, as I moved to a non smoking room. The mattress in this room was spring and not as good as my other room but it was ok.
As I said in my other review, good products, good stay, it's not modern but it's comfortable. Very close to the station and food options within 5-10 minutes walk. Very helpful staff.

#Praise#For mosquito control measures, hotel smell, bedding comfort, location, toiletries, room lighting satisfaction; I like this hotel so much! It is also an ideal hotel! The so-called ideal is that every aspect is very practical! Although there is no breakfast, there is a refrigerator microwave in the room. It is very convenient to buy and eat at the nearby convenience store supermarket. The room is large and the bathroom is large, and the toiletries are complete to even the curling stick! The kettle said that the insulation can be kept warm for one night, not to mention that it is so cheap not far from the station! I will only live here on the West Line in the future. ps: This ideal hotel comes from a 40-generation hotel that has lived in various large and small Japanese hotels in a variety of sizes and sizes. Lightning avoidance and mentioning that this store has no elevator, large boxes of passengers should be cautious.

I had planned to go to the Expo, but Osaka city is expensive, and I'd never been to Wakayama, so I chose this hotel near Wakayamashi Station with the intention of exploring Wakayama Castle.
All the amenities were provided, but it was a shame that there were no slippers. There was also coffee and a water server in the lobby.
The building is a bit old, but for the price and quality, I guess that's understandable.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone mainly planning on sightseeing.

Posted on Dec 15, 2024|Shared Dormitory, Mixed Dorm (for 10 Guests)
Guest UserThe location is easy to find, at the intersection, there are also convenience stores and restaurants nearby.
The beds in mixed rooms are similar to those in capsule hotels, with acceptable hygiene and less shared space. Each person has his or her own locker, which makes you feel more at ease when going out.
The self check-in machine was a bit difficult to use and required the owner to come back to help.
