3-Star Hotels in Wallaroo Mines

Kadina Village is a modest basically budget motel run by a couple who are very friendly and extremely helpful. Not overly large rooms or bathrooms but clean and tidy, good water pressure. Great laundry set up. I was there on a Monday and it is the night the Indian takeaway some reviewers have raved about was closed. Quite a distance to walk into town so I bought some meat, vegies etc from town ( and a bottle of wine) and used their excellent camp kitchen facilities. A lot of motels dont have a camp kitchen and some of those that do they arent that flash, but Kadina Village set up was spot on. I admit that the 2 previous times I have stayed in Kadina , to catch the ferry from Wallaroo I have stayed at Gateway motel out of town. I wanted to stay somewhere I had never stayed at before, and to be honest I got a tad turned off by the reviews of the behaviour of new management at Gateway and I do recall them being somewhat unwelcoming when last there in 2018. I will definitely stay at Kadina Village from now on, fantastic service with a smile from people who obviously care
