Holiday Inn Express & Suites Walterboro I-95

Terrible experience coupled with an over charge on the room. Parking lot filled with construction vehicles for local projects. No room in handicap parking even tho none of the cars/trucks parked in those spots had handicap ID cards. Front desk was obviously busy with things other than customer service upon checking in. No receipt upon checkout as I assumed it would be emailed to me. When I got home after a six week trip to and from Florida and checked my credit card statement the charge for HIE did not make sense. I had trouble finding a direct phone number for the hotel (initial numbers were 800 reservation numbers) but finally managed to speak to the manager and had a copy of the receipt emailed to me. Discovered an $85 pet fee charged to me. Called the hotel back, told them I did not have a pet, didn’t own a pet, and certainly did not have one with us. She said she could not do anything about the charge because my dispute was more than 30 days after the occurrence and that I would need to dispute thru my credit card company- which I am in the process of doing. She claimed that someone must have reported a pet! Certainly will not stop here on future Florida trips

We just checked into our next Holiday Inn Express on our road trip home. The differences are so striking, I’m going to take the time right now to write a review for our Holiday Inn last night in Walterboro SC. The checkin was the most efficient and pleasant I’ve ever had. The guests for the evening already had their checkin packages and keys already for them. I asked if we could be near an elevator, no problem let me change your room for you. Hint…that never happens! Tonight I was told to come in a different door. I have COPD so walking with luggage is tough. In addition to her kindness, there was popcorn, lemon water and cookies there available to the guests. The breakfast was real food and a good selection. The beds and multiple pillows were wonderful and everything so clean. (The Holiday Inn I’m writing this from is the opposite in all respects from checkin to cleanliness.) This Holiday Inn in Walterboro was pretty full last night, I can see why!

We stopped here on our way to Florida. The staff was very welcoming, room was clean, We left extremely early, before breakfast was ready but the staff packed up some cinnamon buns for the road, which was very nice.

This is our sixth time here and it only gets better! The clean room, delicious breakfast and homemade cookies in the afternoon make it special. Esther at the desk was very nice too.

Super helpful and friendly staff. Pet friendly. Good bed. Good shower. Decent breakfast. Very good value overall. Comfortable and convenient.

Nice size room with seating area and desk. I prefer my own toiletries than sharing soap, shampoo and lotions with everyone in a pump bottle. A little pricey for the area.

Everything was great except for the parking area too small for the amount of guess.. no parking area left..
