We always stay at the Lion & Key when we visit London and have been fortunate enough to stay here again in October, December, and also January for my husbands 80th birthday. This really is the ”Savoy” of the small hotels in London and we always know without fail, we will have the most perfect stay. All the staff genuinely care about their guests having the best experience and you cannot fault the care and attention to detail that this hotel takes to ensure an excellent customer experience. They have a great team of which we would like to thank Giorgio, Kanti and Stephania for making all our visits a home away from home. The rooms and also public areas in the hotel are kept pristinely clean and are bright and cheerful. I love the attention to detail this hotel has even with the smallest thing. i.e. the shower cap in the bathroom also has a small hairband in the box ,which is excellent if you have long hair and can’t find your own! The beds are also extremely comfortable and we both always have an excellent night sleep. We love the open kitchen where you can see all the food being freshly prepared and cooked to order. They are very generous with their breakfast time which doesn’t end until 12 o’clock lunchtime. The choice and range that they offer in their restaurant, regardless of breakfast or main meals throughout the day would accommodate even the most fussiest eaters, which I am, but even I am extremely spoilt for choice as the breakfast menu is so comprehensive. The quality of the ingredients used in the restaurant is first class and so is the time and care in presentation which also reflects the pride that they take. We can honestly say that the breakfast’s we have at the L&K are the most tastiest, freshest, consistently perfect breakfast’s we have ever had and far exceed the quality that we have experienced over the years in 4 & 5 star hotels. To be honest, we often wonder how they continuously provide such care and attention to detail for the customer, even more so since Covid as many many hotels and restaurants seem to still use this as an excuse for a less than perfect service or menu range. We must’ve had over 100 of breakfasts since we have been coming here in 2018 and the eggs are always perfectly cooked with a lovely orange yolk, regardless of whether it’s a normal full English breakfast, or my husbands favorite the Egg Royale. We very rarely eat sausages or bacon at home, but the quality and taste of the ones here are amazing, so we always, always enjoy our breakfast which set us up for exploring all day. The transport links to this hotel are excellent as well. There are four buses that go past the hotel to Leyton underground, one of which is running 24 hours and they seem to come by every few minutes. Stratford is only four stops from Leyton so excellent connections for overground, DLR, O2 etc. Liverpool Street is the next stop along for even more connections so the location we find is a great asset to wherever we

Wonderful hotel with excellent location. The room was clean, very comfortable and had great view of the London Stadium. The location was amazing, next to a huge Stratford Shopping Centre and to the subway station with many subway lines. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. KUDO to the Concierge Staff, especially NALEEF, DANIEL, AND ONE OTHER GENTLEMAN (sorry! i forgot his name). My wife got pickpocketed in London. The Concierge staff, especially Naleef, went above and beyond their duty to help us to deal with our distress moments. He advised us to report the theft to the London Police, and also the Concierge staff helped us tremendously to deal with our stolen credit cards. We really appreciated what these amazing staff did for us. Thanks so much to Naleef, Daniel and to all the Concierge staff for making us feel so welcome and for all your unforgettable help during our stay. The world needs more of these people like your Concierge staff. Hyatt should be very proud to have these amazing Concierge staff. We certainly will return to this Hyatt hotel in the future and would highly recommend this Hyatt hotel to anyone!

To whom it may concern I wish to complain about my experience with the Canary Wharf point A hotel on the 24th of March. I was very disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism members of staff showed me and my friends during our short time at the hotel. Firstly, we got told to turn the music down which I totally understand and respected, after turning the music right down we get another knock on the door and once again it was security and a female member of staff claiming we were doing drugs and smoking (which really upset and offended me as I have recently lost a close friend to drug use). I offered them to come and search the room to prove we had no drugs and weren’t smoking but they were having none of it and told us we had to leave. To make it even worse they also made my other two friends leave who were in a totally separate room with no reason or evidence of this supposed drug use and smoking. I tried explaining that we have travelled from Sunderland and would be stranded with no where to stay but I was ignored and told to leave. Before we left the same female member of staff told us the manager has told them to make us leave she then gave us a card with a number to get hold of the manager which we rung immediately after leaving. If our experience with the hotel and service wasn’t bad enough, we then get told on the phone there’s no manager in the building which makes me believe the manager never told anyone to kick us out. In total we spent around 2 hours in the hotel and when I asked about getting a refund I got totally blanked and ignored. I have also emailed Canary Wharf point A hotel to express my disappointment with how we were treated but have not received a reply at this moment. We visited at the end of August 2021 and the experience was not a good one! Confronted with a pleasant young man only to be put in a room for a single person ( we are a couple ) right at the back of the hotel with a long hallway and flights of stairs we had a few pieces of luggage as we were going to a wedding the next day. Not happy with our room but we could not change it as no more rooms were available. We were told perhaps the next day. We were also informed that continental breakfast was available daily but we could see no evidence of this as the restaurant was closed up from the inside ( see pictures) Our room was changed the next day but we had to go a wedding so asked if we could move in later no! Was the blunt answer no consideration shown as they put us in a small room! We had to move immediately or soon as. Also the restaurant still looked like a building site and in the corner was a dusty table with dirty plates, when we complained, as we were informed before we arrived there was continental breakfast someone was called in to clean the table and put bread, milk and a couple of boxes of cereal to appease the situation ( see pic ) it was terrible The rooms are not that great and you can hear everything through the walls. A few days in the restaurant was cleaned up and a full breakfast was being served but that was a little to late as we had only 2 days left of our stay and the previous days we had to buy our own breakfast when this should have been provided as we paid for this!!! Parking is also not so great first come first served and parking in the surrounding streets is awkward my best advice from our experience is to avoid this place and find somewhere else!!! The staff there at that time showed no consideration professionalism or courtesy for our situation and tried to fob us off regarding the breakfast situation and our room.

Quick check in and check out, friendly staff. Smaller room than expected, was assigned the top deck which wasn’t pleasant as had to climb up and down and couldn’t sit straight due to low ceiling. Room was extremely stuffy and warm, and door was creaky. Locker was kinda broken and couldn’t be closed fully / locked, wouldn’t slide smoothly and could only drag it across the carpet floor with much difficulty. Thankfully each bed came with its own reading light and power socket. Can only say you get what you pay for, the low price was unbeatable. Suitable for backpackers for a night or two, but not for those with loads of luggage.

The room is clean and very cost-effective. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there is a good restaurant next door. It is a simple and clear express hotel, suitable for family travel. It is some distance from the subway station, about 30 minutes' walk!

We stayed at Ibis Budget Barking on one of the hottest nights of the year. The air-conditioning worked brilliantly, so we had a much better night than friends who stayed at a much more expensive hotel in central London! We were attending an event at The University of East London SportsDock. It was very easy to get to - just a short walk to the bus stop by Tesco, a 19-minute bus journey which took us very close to the venue - so Ibis Budget Barking is ideal for anyone wanting to go to something in East London. The front of house staff were very courteous and helpful. I have rated this 4 rather than 5 as a kettle ought to be a standard offering in all rooms (in Ibis Budget Portsmouth we had a kettle). But, all in all, an excellent budget location.

For us the hotel was quite good. We were there 3 nights. Greenwich station is less than 2 minutes away and takes you to the centre. Overall the hotel was clean. The staff was nice. Unfortunately, the breakfast does not offer a large selection. I was missing more vegetables and more cold cuts like cheese or similar. My son was happy with the pancakes. When an adult pays for breakfast, a child eats free ( £8.99 ). The area wasn't so special now. 10 min walk and you will arrive at Cutty Sark. Unfortunately everything was completely closed on Christmas Day, including public transport. That's why we only went for a walk near the hotel that day. The rooms aren't that big, but you only sleep in them and don't stay in them for too long. Unfortunately, the pillows were too hard for us. We are stomach sleepers and our heads were too high. We didn't feel comfortable without it, so we slept with it and this led to back pain. But that's complaining on a high level, because everyone likes pillows, blankets and mattresses differently and in their own way. There are supermarkets nearby. We always go to the Tesco which is 10 minutes away and bought water and snacks for the evening. We would book the hotel again, in contrast to other hotels, it was inexpensive and yet clean and safe.

Was a great experience and the staffs as well. The facilities was clean and we find is easier to speak with the staffs for help. The app to assist customers was also a great idea and my life easier. Great stay
