The most outstanding part about this place, more so than the scenary is the service provided by the staff there. They have a 24hours butler service that will try help you resolve any problems that you have to the best of their abilities. They are swift in responding and always always very friendly to make you feel at home. The owner who is there most of the time will chat with you and offer you fruits from the local villagers and really make you feel at ease and at home. Not to mention the 2 dogs there that are extremely friendly that will only try to ask you for belly rubs. They also offer a lot of activies in the hotel such as henna painting, hair braiding and other diy art events, with afternoon tea and even movie under the stars. If you are looking to go to the nearby beach, they have a chauffer to bring you there and back, you just have to communicate the timings with them. The whole stay is extremely pleasant. If you are worried about the cleanliness of the place, it is extremely clean. Thy would on the air conditional before you arrive so that your room would already be cool. This hostel is a true hidden gem, tucked away from the typical tourist trails in a quiet part of the village. It’s the perfect location: right by the fields and some very trendy coffee shops, yet only a 5-minute scooter ride from the main bay and the best surf spots. The owners, Shuiku (水库) and Xiaoxiao (笑笑), really made my trip. Shuiku immediately helped me sort out a scooter and personally showed me where to find the best waves, while Xiaoxiao’s English is quite good, which made everything so much easier. They also pointed me toward some local restaurants that were all absolutely delicious. The vibe of the place is just great. It’s incredibly clean because the cleaning lady and Shuiku himself clean the place several times a day. I loved the design of the indoor chill-out area, though sitting outside to enjoy the tropical weather was just as good. There’s a washing machine which is super handy, and you can rent surfboards for a very fair, cheap price. Because the owners' friends drop by almost daily, there’s always a lively, authentic atmosphere. I met a great mix of foreign tourists and Chinese solo travelers trekking around the island by bike or motorcycle. Many Chinese couples and families where staying too, it is very kid-friendly too. I even ended up meeting a French girl there, and we spent a whole week surfing together. After a lot of online comparisons, I looked at many hotels and finally chose the Grand Hyatt Shenzhou Peninsula. We stayed for three nights, and both the adults and children were incredibly happy and loved it. The entire hotel has a strong Southeast Asian style, with all villa buildings (there's a shuttle service within the hotel for convenient transport). As soon as you enter, the vacation vibe hits you. The entrance pathway especially reminded me of the W Hotel in Bali – it's hard not to like it. The hotel's breakfast is incredibly rich, offering both Chinese and Western options, and served until 10:45 AM, which is very friendly for those who struggle to wake up early. All the hotel staff are exceptionally polite and have excellent service attitudes. Additionally, the hotel has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, though the kids preferred swimming outdoors. In the evenings, there's live music, and swimming while listening to songs is truly wonderful. The beach is right across the road from the hotel, and I personally think it's better than the Westin's beach. About 100 meters to the right of the hotel entrance is Alamauna Town, which is very convenient for dining, though the prices are comparable to Shanghai – not cheap, but still a joy to try local delicacies. It's also very convenient to get to Xinglong Town and Dong'ao Town from the hotel. Choosing the Grand Hyatt definitely won't disappoint.

The owner puts a lot of effort into the guesthouse; the decor is unique and photogenic, with a strong vacation vibe. Cleanliness is impeccable, and they even provide complimentary bath bags and toilet seat covers. The housekeepers, Youyou, Xiaochen, the curly-haired guy, the guy with the lip piercing, and the other ladies are all incredibly welcoming. They always pick us up and drop us off when we go out, and they gave us tons of travel tips. Their recommendations for Liu Jie's hot pot and sour rice noodles were delicious. Parking is convenient and there are charging stations available. Highly recommended!

Whenever I'm on Shenzhou Peninsula, I always stay at the Four Points by Sheraton. It offers great value for money. The hotel has its own beach, which is perfect for photoshoots, especially with Zhouzai Island directly opposite and the Shenzhou Peninsula lighthouse in the distance. Both in the morning and at sunset, it's an excellent spot for pictures. The beach is spacious, great for a morning run. The grounds are beautiful, with natural garden landscapes and plenty of activities for children, including a pool playground, an outdoor activity park, and an indoor playground. In the evening, you can relax at the beach bar, listen to music, and enjoy the breeze – a perfect example of a slow-paced lifestyle. Dining is also very convenient; a taxi ride of less than ten yuan takes you to the Shenzhou Peninsula Food Paradise, where you'll find a wide variety of options like BBQ, 'zaopo cu' (vinegar-marinated seafood), and other seafood dishes. There's plenty to choose from; just pick a place that's busy and you won't go wrong. Our hotel butler, Ella, contacted us in advance. She was incredibly enthusiastic and helped us finalize our itinerary and room. What truly stood out was her effort to ensure we could stay in the same room as our previous visit, which is a fantastic service. They keep records, so as long as the room is available, you can re-book your favorite one. I will definitely continue to stay here in the future.

This time the hotel wasn't very busy, so I didn't have to wait for my room. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially asking about my check-in preferences. In the afternoon, when I was heading out, I even saw a big mascot in the lobby who interacted with me, which made my stay feel super nice. There were also little squirrels, super cute!
