Traveling in the off-season, we encountered Typhoon Trami and calmly accepted the storm. Fortunately, the hotel has everything you need for food, drink and entertainment. On the last day, I booked a travel photo shoot at the hotel. Thanks to the photographer Wei Jun and the photo selector Xiao Muyu, the photos were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel's garden design is unique, and the photographer also knows the hotel's suitable places for taking photos, patiently and professionally. After a few days of leisure, I returned to work.

The hotel is beautifully situated with its own beach. The landscaping and grounds are picturesque as are the ocean views. I have previously stayed in big hotels in Sanya that involve long walks to the facilities and the beach. However, this hotel is really nicely sized. The lagoon pools and infinity pools were great, though I did wonder a bit about the cleanliness levels. I was initially concerned about reviews saying the place looked aged, but in person the rooms seemed fine, spacious and clean. The service was excellent on every level. They did not have a business center but they helped me out with some business needs. The breakfast was diverse and they made sure to keep the buffet filled up despite a large number of diners. All in all, it was a very refreshing and enjoyable stay. Note that taking a train from Sanya Airport to Wanning is not difficult and economical if the timing works well for your flights.

Location is great, directly at the beach. The hotel tries to satisfy any possible need for extra money. You can book surfing courses - otherwise swimming in the sea is forbidden for unknown reasons - rent quads or fly with a small tourist helicopter. Needless to mention the noise level you have to expect at the beach. Relaxing is not easy, as there’s also loud music from the beach bar all day plus a merry-go-round for children. Dinners are accompanied by even louder live band. Dinner is overpriced and quality low. Same in the neighbor hotel “Four Points by Sheraton”, which additionally has extremely poor service. We also had a construction site under our window and experienced low flexibility of the hotel management. One very positive thing to mention is the breakfast and the service personnel in the main restaurant. Bring everything you need, because there’s nothing nearby to buy daily needs. Also, the next external restaurant is really far.

This apartment is on the man made island - it is a little hard to find the reception especially if you don’t speak Chinese. The apartment itself is perfect with everything you need. It has a lovely big balcony and the aircon works very well. It is still slightly under construction- so not all the elevators work at the moment (quite a long wait most times) The island itself is not really where all the action happens - so best to rent a scooter as there is always heavy traffic to get on and off the island.

Location: Lovely location right by the ocean but a bit far from any fun spots. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the Wanning 日月 beach where there's a lot more fun activities. Services: Great service. The front desk manager TT was lovely and could speak great English thus making communication go smoothly. Amenities: Good but could be better. I think some of the rooms were not used for a long time. The first room I got smelled a bit musty. Also, don't expect new facilities this place looks like it's been around for a long time and it shows. Still, it's charming in all it's rustic glory. I would say the only downside to my stay is that there was no shuttle to the train station. Which is kind of a letdown given that this is a high-end resort. ***If you're a person of colour, I recommend maybe try the two hotels not far from this place. Le Meridien and The Westin I think. I didn't spot any other foreigner during my two days at this hotel until I went to 日月 for a walk and ran into a few of them。It turns out most foreigners stay at the Westin or Le Meridien thus maybe it won't feel too isolating opting for these two hotels rather than this one. All in all, it's a nice hotel to stay if you're on a budget.👍🥂

This is my first time to visit Sun Island in Sun Moon Bay. The island is full of Sunac houses. The basic conditions of the houses are good, and they are basically 2 bedrooms and 1 living room with sea views, but they are not well maintained, the wall paint is peeling, and some elevators are out of service. So it is not convenient to get in and out, and you often have to wait a long time to get on the elevator. There is no parking lot in the community (although there are underground garages and multi-story garages, but they are not in operation), so you can only park in the tourist parking lot. The road surface is rocky and bumpy, and it can be greatly improved by just cleaning it up, so it’s really no one cares. There are many hotels here, no less than dozens, but it is estimated that the tenants have handed over the rooms to the hotel to take care of, so there is no integrity. It is estimated that all hotels look the same and the conditions are similar. I looked for the front desk of this hotel for a long time, and then went to another building to check in. It was like a maze. There is no breakfast, and I eat in the commercial area next to it. The room hygiene is so-so, and the sheets are clean. It’s OK to stay for more than 500 yuan during the National Day.

I went to Wanning with my friends and chose this hotel. The service was very good. After arriving at the hotel, I needed to contact the housekeeper to come out and pick up the room. The room was clean and hygienic. I liked it very much. I walked out of the balcony and saw the seaside at a glance. The view was super wide and the sea was blue. It’s much better than Sanya. There are also a lot of people going to the beach to surf. I’ll give it a try next time. The church next to the hotel is very photogenic. This trip was very enjoyable and I’ll come back next time. The butler service is particularly good.
