Four Points by Sheraton Melville Long Island

I have stayed at this property numerous times. I always receive a nice welcome and yesterday was no different as Ashley greeted with me with kindness. My room is always clean and I get the rest I need as I stay here while conducting business on the island. As an aside, Clifton, the chef this morning at breakfast, makes fantastic eggs to order. I will be back to stay here again.

The people that work here are so nice and helpful. Shout out to Cliff and Stevie. Convenient location, clean and they have an outdoor pool which almost never happens in this neck of the woods. Convenient restaurant on premise and Cliff the chef there was super nice and accommodating and made me a special omelet. Overall good value and friendly service.

Hotel was pretty quiet and right off of I495. Be careful with a room on the 2nd floor has some rooms have another short set of stairs to get to the room from the main elevator. Ask to use the service elevator in that case. Breakfast buffet was made-to-order and a very nice feature. Bar was good in the evening.

WOW where do I begin?! While our party wasn't given much of a choice since we were staying here as one of two hotel options for a hotel block and this was affordable and had decent reviews, we decided to stay here. We did run into people who were there for another wedding block so I am thinking it's widely popular for this reason. .... the rooms are very old. So many elements need updating..it's also a 2 story hotel and there's a high chance you'll be on the first floor nearby the bar, loud people and the main area. Which is fine, but the walls are incredibly thin. You can hear voices from outside the hall, room, you can hear the traffic and wind outside your window and just when you think you're going to get some sleep, the fan starts and is incredibly loud. The rooms feel musty and the beds are very uncomfortable. Very soft beds that sink in and the pillows are the flattest pillows I've ever had in a hotel room. Even trying to double up your neck feels like it's supported by virtually nothing. While we were there, there was an unfortunate fire that had happened a couple blocks down. Much to our dismay there was a power outage. We weren't notified or told otherwise but in the middle of getting ready just all the lights went off. Great. The door handle to our room got stuck all the time. It was a pain to leave every time and it took so much force. We even had to have someone come and open it for us but his explanation wasn't great - just that it gets stuck sometimes and we need to pull harder (...) I'm not quite sure how management is run but the staff all look mis. They barely smiled, would constantly answer the phone and just treated us very lackluster. The nicest receptionist was the lady who picked up the phone when I said our door was stuck but otherwise everyone else treated us with mediocre professionalism. There's also 1 free water bottle in the room and then it's all paid for water bottles unless you want to trust the reception water/take water cups from there so I'd advise bringing your own water and snacks for your stay.

The taff was really nice including front desk, house keeping and at the restaurant. The breakfast was really good, they will make tasty sandwiches for you upon request. I was upgraded and my room was very spacious. TV has Netflix and Internet was very good.

Desk rep was welcoming. Hotel looks to be undergoing renovations. Nothing too obvious. Hallways appeared to be new lighting and carpeting. The room was nice & very clean. Wallpaper in bathroom was peeling in corners. Very nice hotel overall

Excellent personal service from front desk personnel Stevie. She check on us to ensure our comfort. We enjoyed our stay. We were upgraded to a lovely suite which was quite comfortable, except for lumpy pillows!! We stay in Marriott properties nearly exclusively.
