The room was quite cold, with best efforts the radiator could not keep the whole room fully warm. My feet were constantly cold.

I stayed at Marygreen Manor last night and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Staff are professional and courteous and the grounds are really beautiful- especially in the glorious weather we are having at the moment. I stayed in room 42 and didnt hear a thing while I was there. Decor is traditional and the bed was extremely comfortable. My room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean and more than adequate. I actually loved the bathroom with double sinks and the traditional tiling. Breakfast was varied and of a high quality- bread was really delicious too!

We were staying just 1 night, post holiday before heading home to the NE. We arrived late, greeted by a friendly member of staff. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Kettle, coffee, tea, water, biscuits and fruit were all available in the room. The bathroom was also spotless and fully equipped. Breakfast was varied and friendly staff welcomed us. All in all a great stay, would recommend to others

We had our wedding here on 20th June and it was amazing the food was perfect our room was beautiful and in character with the building. The staff did a fantastic job our guests loved their rooms as well. Shout out to Steve our Toastmaster who did all the running around on the day also liasing with our photgrapher Chriso Simson, an amazing photographer who we highly recommend. and making sure people were where they should be and when. And finally to Annette who has kept me sane(well as sane as I could be) through this process. Thank you for all your hard work everyone you made our day perfect.

I only stayed for one night so can't offer much insight, but staff were welcoming, my room was lovely as well as clean, and it was a nice peaceful setting, not far from shops/restaurants etc. Would stay again!

3 of us had lunch there yesterday and it was a very pleasant experience. The bar lunch was great and afterwards we adjourned to the lounge. Lunch was at 1pm and we left at 4.45pm after a great get together. During this time we were made to feel very welcome and never rushed. Excellent place to meet and catch up with friends.

The staff were not particularly friendly I would say. The hotel itself was very nice, comfortable and clean but we ordered food and they very small portions for the price.

We have enjoyed afternoon tea at the Marygreen in the past and were very happy to receive a voucher for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. However, we came away with mixed feelings about our experience. There was plenty of food and the scones were delicious as was the selection of mini cakes/desserts. However, the sandwich fillings were unimaginative and, horror of horrors, I could taste margarine! The jam for those wonderful scones looked and tasted as if it was the cheapest that could be found! Where were the Tiptree jars provided in many cafes in our area? The two staff on duty were run off their feet and we were not offered a drinks menu nor any more tea. In conclusion, for those five stars, butter, good jam and more staff are needed! Not a lot to ask!
