Das Hotel war in der Zeit vor der Wende den DDR-Bonzen vorbehalten. Alle Zimmer und alle Restaurants haben einen phantastischen Meerblick. Das Schwimmbad mit warmem Meerwasser gestattet auch bei schlechtem Wetter Schwimmen von 7.00 Uhr bis 22.00 Uhr, dazu gibt es mehrere Saunen, die finnische mit Meerblick, die im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen sind. Frühstück gibt es von 7.00 Uhr bis 12.00 Uhr mit vielfältigem Büffet und mit Sekt. Abends Live-Musik in der Bar und verschiedene Restaurants.

Ich habe mir diesen Kurzurlaub gegönnt und dachte mir, warum jetzt nicht endlich mal ins Neptun für einen kleinen Trip? Das positive: der Ausblick ist natürlich toll, die Lage sowieso. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und vieles frisch. Riesiger Spa-Bereich, der abwechslungsreich und ruhig ist. Meine aufs Zimmer bestellten Extras waren auch nett hergerichtet und das Zimmer war sauber. Jetzt die Abers: Das Zimmer war eingerichtet wie eines in einem Tagungshotel, nicht die Spur edel. Auch in der 10. Etage Richtung Leuchtturm hört man die Lüftung rauschen, aber nicht das Meer. Der Spa-Bereich ist schön, aber der Empfangsbereich samt Personal nicht sehr welcoming. Und mal ganz im Ernst: was soll der Unsinn, dass Tische, natürlich am Fenster, beim Frühstück reserviert werden? Das fand ich sehr unangenehm, abgesehen davon, dass da eh eine Atmosphäre wie in der Mensa herrscht. Dass mein Balkon so wenig einladend war, heißt dann auch, dass ich eher in die Skybar gehen würde oder auf den Leuchtturm, um eine tolle Aussicht zu haben. Es tut mir leid, aber für einen solchen Preis erwarte ich definitiv mehr. Jetzt hab ich das mal gemacht, aber wenn ich wieder nach Warnemünde fahre, und es schick haben will, dann geh ich in die Hohe Düne.
