We periodically visit Warwick for various reasons, mostly the people. We always stay at the Warwick Valley Bed and Breakfast, or what we call, "Loretta's". It's walkable to everywhere in town. The house is beautiful and deceptively large. The rooms available to rent are clean, thoughtful and appointed well. The beds are comfortable and the linens feel lovely. Loretta, the inn keeper, lives on site and is also lovely. She makes everyone feel at home - and yes - you have to take your shoes off by the door, so wear clean socks. The back porch, where guests enter and leave, is a great space to hang out with old friends and/or make new friends. Loretta has coffee ready around 7 each morning, and be prepared because her coffee is strong - yet quite delicious. More delicious are Loretta's breakfast choices. It's so nice to stay at an inn where you are asked what you prefer on that particular day. Too much wine the night before? Perhaps stay clear of the Dippy Eggs! Loretta says, "Farm fresh eggs," every day, because they are. (She takes food scraps back to those very chickens to eat -not the egg scraps though! It just wouldn't be right.) We have stayed at Loretta's in every season, and I can't pick the best time of year to visit. Loretta, her inn and Warwick are all beautiful year round.
