I needed a long-term hotel for family matters, yet I had to work while I was away. This hotel is not suitable for business travel. There is no dedicated work station. You have to work at the raised island that double as dining surface, and the chairs are too low. Also, the wifi didn't show as secure. The first room I was given smelled like ****. I later found out that the HVAC system is connected, so if your neighbor smokes, you likely will smell it. Even though the hotel is billed as nonsmoking, residents don't always go to the designated smoking areas. I witnessed people smoking right outside their rooms with the door open. Often when I went into my room, it smelled musty and ****y. As for the HVAC system, it was difficult to adjust. My first night, the maintenance supervisor was called to adjust it because the staff did not know how to do it. The cable was in-and-out, making it frustrating to watch TV. The light for the microwave over the stove was broken. It wouldn't go off. So the maintenance person removed the bulb and over three weeks, never fixed the problem. I could tell when it was raining because of a dripping sound on the insert of the gas fireplace. The fireplaces were not working, but there also seemed to be some sort of leak that allowed water to drip on the metal top of the fireplace insert. Overall, the description of the facility was not an accurate depiction. I did try to find another extended-stay hotel, but the only other option was booked on dates I needed a room. As for the positives, Maria who ran the breakfast room was tremendous. She treated each person as though they were a guest. She made me waffles when it wasn't waffle day. Agnes at the front desk was responsive to my concerns. And the towels were pretty good.
