amazing place, polite staff, vintage vibes. Perfect location if you are into night life, without any noise of clubs or traffic. loved my 2 night stay here ane would definitely come back.

I always love staying at the Tabard Inn! While it might not be for everyone, I love the historic charm! The lounge is the best (especially in the winter when the fireplace is on). I even like going to the restaurant/bar/lounge when visiting DC and not staying there. A classic in DC.

Check in was a breeze. Glad the the mini split system was in the cooling mode.Really appreciated the fluffy towels!! And for breakfast I tried the soy pickled Deviled eggs with smoked trout roe. I’m pleased to see that establishment is employee-owned.

Lovely, kind, helpful staff. They were gracious in helping us with luggage issues. The room was spacious and richly decorated to match the history of the hotel. The lounge was inviting and well designed for conversation over a night cap. The breakfast was excellent and abundant. The location is convenient for enjoying WDC. I would give more stars but the mattresses were almost unbearably hard, the room was bathed in light at night, and noisy pedestrians coming home invaded the room until 2:30 AM. Bring eatplugs and night/eye shades if you are a light sleeper. Maybe the hotel could offer these amenities to guests.

If you want a lift - forget it. Or a mini-bar, or 24/7 room service too. But if you want to stay in a grand house circa 1880, with a lovely period ambience, then this is pretty unique in DC. I love it.

This hotel and its restaurant are quaint and quite good. The property is from the late 1800s and has a lot of charm. The restaurant has a fantastic brunch.

Soft towels. Clean. Well-decorated. Beautiful ivy covering the windows ＜3. Helpful desk staff. Would be nice if there were fridges/microwaves, but I understand that does not fit with the ambiance of the hotel. Overall, a very pleasant stay in a beautiful building.
