This was the first time I stayes at a hostel. I was a bit apprehensive about sharing a room with complete strangers and using shared facilities. But now I regret having lost the chance to do that in my previous trips. The place is beautiful, clean, well equipped and meticulously maintained. The staff are real gems. Truly caring and helpful. Cleaning ladies are salt of the earth. They prepare you pancakes every morning and then clean every surface and crevice spotless. And the fellow travellers are incredibly considerate. So if you are looking for an excellent place centrally located walking distance to all attractions and some lovely conversations with people from all over the world look no further. This is it.

When I arrived to check in, my reservation should have had 2 beds but only had 1 booked due to an error in the booking system. This didn’t work for my time at the hostel. The staff said I could cancel my booking with them and get a refund.
Several days later they issued a partial refund but won’t stay true to their word with a full refund. I have reached out to them but they are refusing to issue a full refund like they said they would.

The man who was at the reception when I went was rude, spoiled and not very empathetic. He wouldn't let me check in because I didn't have an ID, I only had my passport and the guy didn't want to accept my passport. He put me through a nightmare, since I had NO place to stay that night, it was 10pm and the guy didn't care that I had already paid the rate for all the nights and on top of that he said he wasn't going to refund me. Truly the worst humiliation and experience of my life, DO NOT stay here, even though the location is very good, the staff treats you the worst!

This felt safe overall, but the codes to get in didn’t always work, the rooms were very stuffy and smelly. Creaky beds and stairs. We also were not allowed to keep certain items in the bridge. There were also no ice makers, just trays. Too expensive for a hostel.
