The hotel was very nice, modern, clean. We wanted a full kitchen and those rooms are in another building right next door. There was evidence of a pet having been in the room and as you cannot open windows we decided to just try and deal with it. We checked in late and upon taking showers the water was lukewarm. The kitchen sink water was hot enough but the shower was not. We made a complaint and stated we would call in the am to have it taken care of. Went down to main desk in am and maintenance had been sent to the room. Don't know what they did because they were there when we were at the lobby. Went back to the room to check the hot water but it was still lukewarm. There were no other kitchen rooms available but we were shown kitchenette rooms,,,,,upon checking the hot water ,,,it was hot so we moved to the building that had the kitchenettes,,,,,,,,evidence of vaping present so we weighed hot water vs vape odor and decided on hot water. Alexis at the front desk was most helpful and understood the necessity of hot water - Thank You!!.....We wanted the kitchen because we brought food due to allergy situations so working with only the microwave was challenging. SO,,,the second building appears to need a new / larger water heater. One of us could enjoy the breakfast and there were many items to choose from. Coffee,, tea,,hot cocoa were available in lobby till late (maybe 24 hrs) and that was nice coming in from the cold. Hotel is walking distance from many things but the monuments are 3 miles away and it seemed that by the time you got to metro stations you might as well just do the walking. BTW - if using the subways they are usually clean BUT each person must have their own card at the cost of 2.00 each card - what a moneymaker!!!...we did do the subway to the airport and that was a savings. We did do some Ubers esp as my old bones got tired. We did not eat out but just brought small snacks with us. As many things are outside (monuments ect) the lack of open restrooms later in the day was a challenge. Most of the museums were FREE!!! some you have to get a ticket for though. All in all I would stay at this hotel again, just not book a kitchen. Another note,,,the bathroom door was a "slider" that was a bit noisy. Thanks again Alexis for your help. Maybe the owners can work on that hot water situation
