The hotel was recently refreshed and it shows. Rooms are very comfortable and update. Bedding was outstanding. The staff at this location are top tier. Everyone, from the maintenance staff to the front desk, made a point to say hello and smile as I passed. The restaurant, which recently reopened, has decent food. I would like to see a room service option return in the future. The restaurant staff were top notch. My stay was for 6 nights and every morning when I walked in, the staff had coffee ready for me so I could keep moving. One specific restaurant staff member, Tigist, greeted me every morning by name and had my coffee in hand. She treated me like a friend and was the main reason I went to the hotel restaurant for coffee versus the nearby coffee shop. While the hotel is nice, the staff made this a perfect review score.

The room was spacious and clean and the front desk team was decent and helpful in answering questions. The person that went the extra mile in welcoming, clarifying and suggesting restaurants was Dandara! She definitely made my stay better with her welcoming and general positive attitude. The restaurant in the hotel was not worth it, either the breakfast (nothing special for the price) or the dinner (shrimps and soup both were flavorless and tasteless). The location is central and convenient. For a short visit, I would come back.

If you are wondering if you should book here, the answer is yes. Dirie was great throughout our stay, giving a great tip about parking and just generally nice to be greeted by. I was supposed to be able to have a roll away or double bed room according to a previous front desk agent I spoke with. When I got there, they said that wasn't the case. I explained the situtation and Dirie upgraded us to a king room with a pull out bed and it was amazing! One of the biggest rooms I've stayed in, in a city. Platinum member benefit is $20 per person for breakfast up to two people and was really nice! Staying here made our first trip to DC an amazing one! We will definitely be back!! Thank you!
