Very convenient location to visit DC colleges and monuments. Nice neighborhood, attentive personnel. Good stay. Everything very clean. The property is been updated, the layout design is traditional. Not fancy but impeccable clean.

A warm welcome as we arrived and a lovely little treat because we were celebrating our special birthdays. The location is great especially for getting to the metro and the White House and environs. It is also fairly residential so quiet. Two grocery stores nearby (5 mins walk) so you can stock up the fridge if you have a room with a kitchenette. The space we had (two queen room suite) was plenty big enough and had everything we needed. There is a small gym on site and also laundry facilities which was handy for us (ask reception for complimentary detergent). My only small grumble (and it is small) is that an inclusive breakfast was not an option although there is a restaurant on site if you wish to use it. All in all the River Inn is deserving of its top ranking made in part because of the friendly staff.

I recently stayed here for three nights while attending a family function. The location was great - walking distance to the metro, Kennedy Center, Georgetown. My room was so comfortable - there was a good sized kitchen, sitting area, bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. Trader Joe's is close by. The hotel staff were so friendly, helpful, and professional. Thank you.

Briber inn is the best affordable hotel in DC. We will make it our primary place to stay in DC. Staff was wonderful
