Pros: hotel rooms well appointed, and communal areas are spacious and modern. Cons: no evening food available, and were challenged when ordering food for delivery. When we arrived in the morning prior to our day at Walibi Belgium theme park, we asked at the reception desk whether there would be food served in the evening. The staff advised it was likely a buffet would be available. When returning to check in at 6:30pm, the staff told us no food was available. We went to our room, which was clean and well appointed, and returned to the bar area to order drinks and sit outside in the garden area. We then ordered pizza to be delivered. When the pizza arrived, bar staff/reception staff attempted to challenge us and say we had to eat it in our room and not outside. We advised that because there was no food available as previously advised, we wanted to eat our pizza with the drinks we had ordered and paid for. We were then told to take the packaging to our room as they were unable to dispose of it. For a chain hotel which is not at the bottom of the Accor chain, I am appalled there is no evening food availability and staff challenge guests when ordering food in. Despite the great rooms and pleasant communal area, food is a basic amenity that should be available or, at the very least, notified in advance not to be available.
