Will not stay here again. It's an older hotel that has been renovated about a decade ago, but the signs of age show and it is expensive for what it is in the market it is in. I stayed here a year ago and the same water damage on the ceiling in the main hallway off the reception area is still there a year later, not fixed. That should have probably told me all I need to know, but I made a last-minute reservation thinking it would be "good enough" since I don't know the area well and didn't have time to look for other options. The room was fine, the pool looked murky and dirty. But what really left a bad taste in my mouth was that my daughter became ill a few hours after I checked in and I eventually decided to drive her home (3 hours on way) so she could sleep in her own bed. I went to return the key and explain why i was leaving and the first words out of the desk attendant's mouth were "we cannot give you a refund." Dude, I was not asking you for a refund, but telling you why I was returning the key card. I appreciate the followup "hope she's okay," but I don't like when hotel employees assume my motives from the start. Listen, next time, please.
