Travelodge Watford Central

Staff was very helpful, gave recommendations on how to get around on the train system. The room was clean and drinks were reasonably priced down at the pub.

Had to wait 10 minutes for the man on reception to find the booking. He scared us by saying he couldn’t find it and took a while before letting us know we did have a room. Whilst waiting in the bar the tables were dirty and the seats. The bathroom was dated but the bed was cofmy and the room was adequate for the price paid.

Lovely place

I stayed at Travelodge Watford Central for two nights with my family. Unfortunately, my experience with the service was very disappointing. Communication at reception was difficult and not very welcoming. Even though I paid for both breakfast and dinner, no one clearly explained how the food service worked. When I went down for dinner, I was told the wait would be around 45 minutes, but I ended up waiting nearly two hours. The food arrived burnt and was not enjoyable, so I didn’t eat it. I also had an issue when trying to pay extra for food, as the card payment was not working and there was no flexibility or alternative offered, which made the situation even more stressful. However, I would really like to highlight Anna from the housekeeping team. She was very friendly, helpful and made me feel looked after, which I really appreciated. Her attitude and care really stood out. Thank you Anna – you made a difference during my stay.

The best service from the amazing Curtis! Spacious room and great looking deals for the restaurant. Highly recommended!!

The receptionist called Curtis! Absolute legend he is! I have never come across someone with such positive energy. PERIOD! He told us about the football that shows all night at the bar. And Nerys is just who any guest would want to be served by.

It's good, the receptionist Curtis was very friendly, and was perfectly happy to go through the PEEP plan for if a fire alarm happens when I am asleep due to my deafness. The room is very clean, though the doesn't appear to have any air conditioning so maybe not the best choice in a heatwave - that said there is a fan so its not like you are left to melt (I also went for one of the cheapest rooms so maybe the more expensive ones have Aircon?) The only other thing is it is a little dark in my room so I am having to put the lights on though that is mostly because the sun is currently facing away from my room so it is not too bad. There's taxis and buses nearby if I need to travel anywhere and I am only a 1 minute max walk away from the what I think is the high street? As it is literally down the road..
