The Willow House

My husband and I went in for a very rare lunch out for our wedding anniversary. The meals were both massively overcooked, and when I mentioned it to the serving staff member she just walked away. When it came to paying she asked "will we be seeing you again" and i responded honestly but politely "no because our food was overcooked". She didn't say a word and as we left we got a sarcastic goodbye. Very disappointing and not what we expected from a small local business at all.

Around the property there is renovation going on but it did not detract from our stay. The staff were very polite and friendly. Would definitely ho backs again.

Room was clean, warm and well equipped. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Carpark is large and easy find. Bar is wonderful, would stay again.

Excellent all round

It was ideal for me attending a wedding nearby. They helped me arrange a taxi to and from the wedding venue. Staff that I met were helpful and friendly

I stay at the Willow House a couple of time a year with work and have always found the accommodation to be excellent. Spacious rooms with plenty of power points, fridge, toaster, microwave and some breakfast supplies in your room. The bed is comfortable and although the ensuite is compact, it has everything you need. The restaurant serves great food too.

I booked the stay for my dad who needed to stay in the area. While I did not experience the stay myself he's asked me to say how wonderful the entire stay was and to say thank you to the owners/staff for their attention to detail and the facilities. He will definitely be staying again when he is in the area.

Rooms was a nice size shame about noise in bathroom and the outside was very full off rubbish ba big tidy up would have made it a better stay
