I stayed at this property for 2 days. Property is located in beautiful position and easy to access. Staffs are very good and well behaved. In my opinion, they should concentrate a bit on room cleanliness and food availability as per guest choice.

One of the best private property to enjoy forest and wildlife. Property sits inside 61 acres of land and sharing border with tholpetty wildlife sanctuary. Host anil is a naturalist and he explains about wildlife with great intrest.

We drove from bangalore with our little 3 year old and parents to mark their 40th anniversary. Wanted them to have an adventure and they definitely had it. You have to understand that it is bang on the top of a hill in the middle of a jungle. So you can't expect 5 star features. The rooms are neat, clean and tidy. The food was just awesome. We had to ask the cook to tone down the spice as we had a child. The main usp is the location and their staff. ***u, anil and vishnu are an awesome team. What stories they had, you can feel the love for nature in them. The experience of hearing the tiger growl at us just meters away was so exciting, night safari was another adventure. Bonfire night is pending, hope next time rains stay away and we can enjoy that as well. You guys keep up the good work. We will be back!

Proximity of the property to the wildlife is their usp and with the experience and love of host and staff with wild life makes it special for everyone staying their. The siting of wild life gives goosebumps but then that's what is the real experience too to witness real wilderness.

I had booked a double bedroom cottage through makemytrip (paid rs 21, 543- )but got a much inferior one bedroom cottage after a lot of requests since the resort was fully booked, for which the resort is charging rs 3000- per person, immediately i informed makemytrip through e-mail, but my problem has not yet been resolved. So, i had a very bad experience both monetarily and holiday experience wise (the resort people clearly told me that they have not received any confirmation from makemytrip regarding my booking)

We had read so much about Jungle Retreat Wayanad and it didn't disappoint. Gave us an African safari lodge vibes. What makes them special is the location, saw a Tiger, multiple elephant and a Dhole hunt from our room itself. I can't think of another place where we could see all this from the room. In fact we thought sitting in the balcony gave us more chance of wildlife viewing that going for Safari drives. Another huge plus is the incredible staff, as mentioned by other reviewers, they... are just amazing. Add excellent food and activities, you have a completely satisfying stay. It is a bit more expensive than the other resorts in the area, but we are glad we paid the Rs 1K more, the sightings made it worth it and more.

Jungle Retreat Wayanad Ce qui saute aux yeux c’est l’authenticité du lieu. Nous avons passé trois jours dans un cadre sublime. Notre bungalow donnait sur une large prairie où les animaux venaient boire et paître. Depuis la terrasse, nous avons ainsi pu observer pas moins d’une quarantaine de biches et des cerfs et des paons aussi. Des singes nous ont également rendu visite. Nous avons vu deux éléphants lors d’une balade en soirée en voiture et une nuit un éléphant est passé tout près de notre bungalow et nous avons pu l’observer par la fenêtre!! Nous avons fait un Trek pour découvrir les oiseaux, c’était une vraie symphonie pour les yeux et les oreilles. nous avons aussi fait un trek de 4 h jusqu’au sommet d’un petit pic d’où nous avions une vue fantastique sur toute la région. En résumé trois jours enchanteur pour 25500 roupies. Merci aussi pour la compétence la gentillesse de toute l’équipe de Jungle retreat. Ce fut une expérience fascinante mêlée d’un peu de frayeur d ‘être ainsi plongé dans un environnement où la vie sauvage coexiste avec la vie humaine. Totalement inimaginable en France. Encore merci. Nous recom***dons vivement. note. Il n’y a pas besoin de jeep pour rejoindre… un Tuk Tuk suffit.
